LS 2WD shown

- I like the appearence if the vehicle and the sleek look.
This is really a cute vehicle for a woman. I like the size and the gas effienciency. I like that it sits up high so that you can see th road really good. I purchased a used 2005 with less than 18,000 miles and I am totally pleased.

- for mid size SUV, lots of room. handles snow very well!!
- fuel economy not as good as stated, only geting 15 mpg in city.
I recently purchased this car, it is my first SUV. i saw it an instantly loved it because of its look. it rides great, the interior is nice, and lots of room in back seat for the kids. but, the fuel economy is not as great as GM states, and wish the gas tank was larger. there is only one cup holder in the front, and should have more compartment space in front as well as in the back. Overall, I am very happy with the car and think it is an affordable SUV to get into....read morehide

- Looks, Roominess, Options, Comfortable ride, Responsive handling
- Wide turn arc, Mileage lower than displayed, Awful center console design
I am still thrilled with my Equinox five months after purchase. I never had a glimmer of buyer's remorse. I like the size, handling, comfort, and the nice selection of optional features (of which I installed ALL). I bought it as a gift to me for landing a new job. It was to be a commuter car. When the mileage fell 20% shy of the value listed on the sticker, it became a gift to my wife. Well...she's happy. I enjoy the OnStar services and the built-in voice operated phone (make them give you the digital phone or you'll be forced to upgrade in a couple of years when OnStar goes digital). The rear seat adjusts for passenger legroom for hauling people, or moves far forward for hauling more cargo. It's perfect for two rear car seats and the tremendous quantity of equipment needed to haul the kids around. All in all, this SUV is a keeper.
Aside from the gas mileage, my only complaint is the design of those ridiculous cup holders in the center console. With the cup holder deployed, you can't pull the parking brake. If the parking brake is pulled, it interferes with the cup holder tray. Come on Chevy...did you think no one would notice. You almost had it perfect....read morehide

- Rides smooth, lots of leg room, very safe
I LOVE this SUV!! I traded my 2004 Kia Sedona for the Equinox and am SOOO HAPPY with it!!! I originally went to buy an 06 Trailblazer, because I wanted the 7 passenger vehicle. I drove the Trailblazer and then drove the Equinox, I fell in love with the Equinox!! It is a perfect size for my family, there are 4 of us. My kids love it. My husband loves it, and I love it, so that's all that matters! All 4 of my siblings own a Trailblazer and when my 13 yr old nephew got in my Equinox for the first time he said "I like this A LOT better than the Trailblazers" That made me feel good! I have no complaints about this!! I would reccommend this SUV to anyone!...read morehide

- styling, function, build quality
- Safety devices are still backseat in american build
American cars have great style and value but with so many auto deaths why do so many american cars have optional or not avaiable side airbags, curtain airbags, electronic stability control, roll bars in convertibles---These should be standard like the US competition. Otherwise the equinox could even be better....read morehide

- Look, spacious, and very comfortable for those long drives!
- Cupholders kind of flimsy
The second I saw the Equinox--I fell in love! The look is perfect, and the drive is even better! It's very affordable--the gas mileage and the total cost! Nothing bad to say about this lovely car!

- Lots of leg room, good pick-up speed
- Cannot get at driver seat controls, hard to back-up, hard to find window controls at night.
Looks great, I have sun and sound that delivers good stereo sound. Tonnes of leg room in the back for my tall kids. You need very little hands to get at the seat controls, I have to do it with the door open, or take off my watch. I still have to look around for the window controls at night, as only the drivers is lit. Forget about trying to pick a CD from the console, unless you pull over or get the passenger to do it. Winter tires for this vehicle are very expensive, but you need them. I have the all season 17 inchers, It is okay in light snow, but in the real snow, it is all over the place, AWD is useless. It is not very happy off-road, it doesn't like the rough terrain much. Once I accepted the fact the the vehicle is essentially a mini van made to look like an SUV, I was happy with it. I have fun travelling long distances on the highway, especially with the fuel economy, Although I wish it had a bigger tank. Over all it's a nice little Pseudo SUV....read morehide

- Design, sliding back seat
We got our Equinox about 2 months ago and have been loving it ever since. We looked at the compeditor Kia Sportage , and the Saturn Vue but overall besides the price the Equinox seemed to be the best. Plus with the GM employee discount it was basically the same price as the Sportage. It's a great vehicle for a family of four such as ours, and gives plenty of room to strech out your legs in the back for going on a trip. The adjustible back seat is wonderful never heard of it before until we test drove an Equinox and the dealer moved the seat back for my sister. After that we were took, we chose the color and at the end of the day drove home the new addition to the family our Equinox LS.
I would reccomend this for anyone who enjoys a comfortable relaxing ride with family....read morehide
