- BAD GAS MILEAGE, nothing but problems
Purchased As Used
I bought this car used and have had nothing but problems from it since day one. My seatbelt had to be replaced becuase it got stuck all the time. Already replaced the ignition switch, still doesn't start all the time. Have to constantly put air in the tires due to a design flaw. Also had the CD player replaced because it started eating CDs. Thank god everything minus the tire issue has been covered under warrenty. Compared to the 4 wheel drive Explorer I used to have, this thing handles terrible in the snow. Gas mileage is AWEFUL, saying I get 13 MPG is being generous. I have the all wheel drive V8, but that still doesn't excuse the milage. Also the controls for the windows are in the center, you can't put the windows down on the driver and front passenger seats from the sides of the doors, which is just awkward placement. The interior shows dirt real quick, and is also a hideous checkerboard pattern. I strongly regret buying this vehicle.
