Purchased As New
If you are looking to waste money because you simply have nothing better to do with your benjamin's - look no further as Chevrolet has just what you are looking for. I bought this vehicle new off the lot in November of 2006. We are just going into 2010 and I have all ready put more money than it is worth x 2 and still have a big loan payment to show for it. If I had known this was Chevy's "Lemon" car I would have stayed clear. I have had to replace the brakes 4 times now, needing a fifth when I can come up with the time for this vehicle to be tied up all day once again and the money for the labor. The sunroof squeals no matter how many new seals they put on it. I'm constantly having to open and shut in all types of weather to try and quiet it down. I have had three sets of tires put on the vehicle - the first set the vehicle was not even a year old and at 25k miles I would have never thought I would need to purchase 400+ dollar tires. The rear yolk assembly had to be changed out as it was junk (mileage 28k), the interior rubs away even if a pillow is wedged against it. Yes a pillow. We had put a thick pillow against the passenger door and it caused wear marks on the door. The paint is terrible - they did such a crappy job painting that the actual paint is coming off in sheets leaving bare metal. Not rust.. bare metal. The upholstery is so cheap that even water, yes just water, leaves a terrible stain to it and you have to scrub with all your might and "blend" to try and minimize the stain. There is no way of turning off the ventilation to the upper part of your body. Although the dial states feet only it does not. I had the shop look into this and they said that is how every model is and there is no repair. It's ridiculous because your eyes dry out all the time. Replacing a headlight is not a quick fix. As a matter of fact, I got pulled over and when I showed the officer I had the light and had to bring it in to the shop to switch he FINALLY believed me and said what a piece of junk. You actually have to take the entire front end apart to gain access to the headlight assembly to change the light. This was an hour long project of tearing the nose down, replace the bulb, and then putting back together. Just recently sunk 897.00 into the car to get it to pass inspection. This would include all new struts, sway bars, and a camber extension kit as the car would not align correctly. They told me that it would have never aligned correctly and therefore this has been an issue from the time of purchase. I'm overly disappointed with this vehicle. It has sucked me dry for any money and that was the reason why I had purchased a new vehicle from the get go - to minimize such costs. This was my first and last Chevrolet I have to say. I'm sticking with Ford. Please consider this review when you look into this Make and Model.
