- Great for ice snow and mud. good gas milage
- Cheap interior, needs handles by roof, poor visability looking back
I love my Eq!!! I am a Rural Mail Carrier and this vehicle has been great on my dirt roads. I was worried that I would need a 4X4, but not with this little gem and the front wheel drive. She has pulled me through a lot of mud, ice, snow, and water running down the roads. I have had my 06" for 9 months now and she has 36,000 miles on her. The only time she has been in the shop has been to put on new all terain tires and have the oil changed. The front wheel drive is awesome!! For a vehicle that can get down my roads and hold all of my mail and good gas milage to boot, I think that she is a keeper. I would highly recommend this vehicle because if it can hold up to my job it can do what you need it to....read morehide

- Size. sporty appearance, easy to handle
- Needs handles to help older/disabled people get in easier
I have had my Equinox for 5 months now, and I still love it! I test drove several other SUV's, and I always kept coming back to the Equinox. Put the kids in the back, and they have plenty of room to stretch their legs and play with their toys while we are on the road. The gas mileage is not great, but it gets a little better than my former vehicle, which was a 99 Buick Regal. Just about everywhere I go, people stop me and ask what I am driving. Looks great, drives great - even in snow....read morehide

- On star and hands free phone. Roominess. Style.
- Steering. Could get better gas mileage.
Lot of vehicle for the money. I looked at Toyota Rav4 and Honda Crv and the Ford Escape and the Equinox was far and away the best buy.
It is roomy, quiet, and stylish. I think it is a sleeper among the SUV/Crossover class of vehicles. It is not perfect but you do get a lot of features for the price. Not crazy about the electric steering system and gas mileage could be better but overall is a quality vehicle....read morehide

- Very Bad fuel economy, horrible quality on a new car, bad GM warranty service
I bought Eqiunox two months ago and so far have a horrible experience with it. After 3000km. loud noise appeared in front driver side wheel bearing. Just after couple minutes of driving this high pitched sound becaming unbearable. But this was just a beginning. GM dealerships do not have bearing assembly and they have to order it. Apparently, Equinox is not ready for warranty service and parts are not produced yet, so I'm still waiting to receive this parts (three weeks already). Most interesting is, that nobody knows when this part will arrive and how long I should wait. Unfortunate drivers (as myself) will not get a GM paid rental replacement car (that's GM warranty). For the last three weeks I have to drive Equinox with unbearable sound in the cabin. I had to change my travel plans because of that (just cannot drive car for prolonged time because of very annoying sound) and limit my driving to the bare limit. I was appaled, when I saw GM service procedures and manuals for the repair shops - they are on very low level. Dealerships do not have fixtures and gages to check bearing play and do it just by simply wiggling wheel on the axle - this is unbelievable - this was obsolete already 40 years ago. Not surprisingly, GM rapidly losing their market. Horrible, horrible experience with Equinox. In addition, fuel economy is very bad, much worse, than in specifications...read morehide

- Great Value, Great Handling, Great Versitality, Great Looks
- Interior color choices are too light, wider turning radius than expected
I have had my Equinox for 4 months, and it has surpassed my expectations for this vehicle. I test drove and studied other SUV's in this category and found this SUV to have the most comfortable ride and the best lumbar support for my back, as I have back problems. Getting in and out of it is effortless, and long drives are comfortable and plenty of room to stretch. The back seat holds 3 full sized adults very easily, and being over 6' tall, I am impressed with the head room of the front and back seats! The transmission is very smooth and reminds me of the large luxury cars of the GM line. Acceleartion is peppy and responsive, and breaking is steady and even. With the back seats folded down, I have been able to move large pieces of furniture without any problem. The style of this SUV is similar to other makes which cost twice the price. I feel that GM/Chevy has really hit a home run with this model, and look forward to many happy miles and years of ownership. See the USA in my Cheverlot!...read morehide

- cup holders, interior too light, material pulls on hair, cheap floor mats
2007 is a great vehicle but the cup holders are cheaply, The material coving the seat pulls on my hair, needs a softer material. The truck runs great and great on gas. I loves the feature that shows you how many miles you have before you go emtpy on gas. I love all the dash board feaatures.

- Wonderful ride and good fuel economy for a small SUV
- Inside door jam where the seat belt goes down
This car is awesome. I have about 15,000 miles onan 06' LT model. Have had no problems. It handles superbly, is roomy for four or five adults. Enough storage space in the back, much better than the Ford Escape. I am 6'5" tall and there is plenty of leg and head room. The only suggestion I have is the door jam where the seat belt goes down into a plastic casing juts out too far. For someone my size, when you put the seat back a little bit the seat belt casing is jammed into your shoulder. This becomes uncomfortable after a while. This definitely needs to be fixed before I buy another one....read morehide

- Great fuel economy, extremely comfortable, handles great in inclement weather.
- The cup holder (once you find it...) is kind of cheaply made.
This car is fantastic. It's very reliable and even has a classy look. Comes with a lot of GREAT features...love the OnStar. Not a big fan of XM, but there is a conversion kit for those who like Sirius. Overall...BEST BUY EVER.
