I bought mine used with a little wear, it seems like a good vehicle, gas mileage is not as advertised as many stated but it's still good, much better than my old Buick Rendezvous.
The seats are some of the most comfortable I have ever had in a vehicle, it has a quality ride and little noise.
The touch screen and blue tooth is great, a major factor in me buying the vehicle, this and the back up camera....read morehide1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Looks Good & Comfortable
- Cons
- Fuel Economy & Rides Rough

I bought this car new in 2010. We bought it for the main reason of the fuel economy. After a few months we started realizing we were putting alot of gas in the car had to fill up 1-2 times a week and I don't drive that much. Fuel economy is ridiculous after 2 years we couldn't take it anymore and got rid of it and the only reason we did is because of the fuel. Have talked to a few owners and they have the same complaint. FALSE ADVERTISING CHEVY!!!!!...read morehide

This car has already save enough in fuel cost to make monthly payment!!! Great fuel mileage 27 mg driving it 70-80 mph on expressway. Use to a diesel that gets 15 mpg! I only have 3200 miles but so far no issues. I drive about 500 miles or more a week in Atlanta traffic. Great dealership I purchased it from. (Pierson Chevrolet, Gadsden, Al)...read morehide

- Pros
- Nice Looking, seats are comfortable
- Cons
- Fuel Mileage Poor, Seats are hard to get out of, take off sluggish
Purchased As New
Very disappointed with what they say your mileage will be.
I've tried everything, driving slower, eco button. Mostly drive high way miles and the most I can get is 26.3, not anywhere near the 32 they state.1 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

I came out of a 2008 Malibu. I'm an older guy and it was just too close to the ground...I kept hitting my shins on the underside of the dash. It was a great car other than that. The Equinox is pretty much everything the Malibu was...just more comfortable. It doesn't handle in curves as well as the Malibu but it's designed more for utility than handling. It does very well over all....read morehide

Was this review helpful to you?
- Pros
- Most space, good fuel economy and price for its class
- Cons
- Big touch screen with no NAV?, No dual Climate, Mediocre Ride

We tried them all in its class...Kia Sorrento, Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, and Ford Escape. None have the Equinox's space and array of options. Some rode a little better but the adjustable 2nd seat helps with hauling things and accomodating the baby seats that was missing on some other models. The fully loaded version of the Equinox was less expensive than the fully loaded equivalents in its class. The dealership gave us the best interest rates of all as well. We liked some features on others, but the overall vehicle clipsed our decision. Aside from KIA, the warranty has the longest span....read morehide

- Cons
- non-full size spare,large front pillars,no fog lamps as an-add on,no rear vent outlet/controls

This is my first American/Canadian made vehicle and my first crossover utility vehicle. Although I've always admired the likes of the BMW X3, Audi Q5 and the Benz GLK350 for it's performance and appeal packaging, the final price and maintenance for these Euro utes are a little over my budget. I've also researched the affordable competitions like the RAV4, CR-V, Ford Edge, Mazda CX-7, Acura RDX and doing a test drive on the KIA Sorento EX AWD/V6 which was my second choice. The KIA Sorento does seem have more cargo room and a bigger V6 (at the expense of gas mileage) but since I don't need these two advantages and interior noise levels were higher compared to the Equinox, it was easy to decide on the Chevy. I have over 1600 miles and have been averaging 21 MPG 60% highway/40% city. Not bad for a V6 and AWD. I hope to see more mileage improvement as she continues to break-in. If you do a test drive on this 2012 Equinox particularly the 1LT trim and above, you might not want to leave without it. Trust me, I did....read morehide
