This is the first American made car I have purchased in years. My main need in a car is reliability. So far, so good.. but then the car is brand new with under 10,000 miles.
This four cylinder is a DOG for trying to go up a steep hill. I expected better from this vehicle.
The transmission seems "buggy" at times and my husband hit's his head every time he gets in the vehicle. It's like you have to dip your head to get inside. Weird.
Otherwise, so far it gets me down the road and with good gas mileage....read morehide

Just bought this 2013 Equinox to replace an extended minivan loaded with extras. We have 600 miles on this stylish and techy vehicle and love it so far. Challenging its cargo space a ride soon via long trip to Florida.

I LOVE my car! It's pretty, roomy, just perfect!
Well....except my radio. I don't know why, and neither does GM, but I'm thankful that they give 3 free months of XM!
My FM radio goes in & out. It's at normal volume (and then without changing the volume) it gets really really low, you can hardly hear it, and then it goes back to the normal volume again.
One time, the entire radio turned itself off and then back on again.
This is terrible! They even replaced the radio, yes, out of a brand new SUV that had 50 miles on it. (12 when I purchased it!) It's still does it! I don't know what to do. Other than this, I love my car!...read morehide

Purchased for durability, styling, comfort and fuel economy. The transmission seems to stay in high gear to long when climbing hills. Seats 5 comfortably , nice technology for the price, cant beat fuel economy and drives with stability. Ride seemed alittle stiff when first purchased but has really come together very nicely. I am very pleased overall. Tried all these smaller Suv's and will still stick to my decision its the best little suv out there for the money. Bought this new. Have truly enjoyed the ride, the comfort, and, especially, the gas mileage. We're getting about 28 mpg average. We've only had it a couple of months and a few thousand miles, so we don't know the reliability yet. So far, though, we're quite pleased. One issue ... the 4-cylinder just doesn't have a lot of power. But then, we knew that would be the case. I prefer to have the better gas mileage....read morehide

I am really happy with the car. I am a large man, 6'2" 275 lbs, But I do not feel at all uncomfortable. The adjustable drivers seat makes for a good posistion, both front to back as well as hieght.
The adjustab le rear seat insuress plenty of leg room for rear passengers.Also with the rear seat folded down there is plenty of room for all my camping gear. I do, however, wish that the front passenger seat would fold flat.
Good power and handling. Also good gas milage. On vacation I drove the Interstate thru Texas and New Mexico. With hte cruise control on, and now hills to spoeak of, i got just over 33mpg. Not too shabby....read morehide
