- FAST AS A RABBITT
- OVERALL AN UGLY EXCUSE FOR A AUTOMOBILE
I PURCHASED THIS CAR ABOUT 3 MONTHES AGO AND I REALLY AM SORRY I BOUGHT IT. IT IS A RATTLE TRAP AND SKIPS ALL OVER THE ROAD DUE TO ITS ELECTRONIC STEERING. I WOULD EQATE THIS TO A VOLKSWAGEN RABBITT THAT IS ON STEROIDS. I WENT BACK TO DEALER TO COMPLAIN AS I FELT I BOUGHT A LEMON. THEY WORKED ON THIS CAR FOR 4 DAYS AND IT STILL STINKS---PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PIECE OF JUNK....read morehide

- EXCELLENT TRUCK--GREAT FOR THE MONEY
- NONE--I LOVE THIS TRUCK
I DONT UNDERSTAND THIS THING ABOUT THE SQUEAKS--I DRIVE OVER ROUGH ROADS IN BROOKLYN AND QUEENS( POT HOLE CITIES) AND HEAR NOTHING. THE PERFORMANCE TIRES DO MAKE SOME ROAD NOISE BUT IT IS BEARABLE. I HAVE THIS TRUCK FOR OVER A MONTH NOW WITH 1100 MILES AND NO PROBLEMS. I HAVE THE SS MODEL WHICH IS REALLY QUICK. SOMETIMES SOME JERK SQUEEZES IN THE LANE NEXT TO YOU AND WANTS TO BEAT YOU BEFORE THE LIGHT CHANGES--I PUT THE HHR IN LAUNCH AND LEAVE THIS AS-H-LE BEHIND. THE HHR APPEALS TO ALL AGES AND HAS GREAT TRACTION, CORNERING ABILITY, AGILITY AND BEST OF ALL GREAT GAS MILAGE--I AM GETTING 28 ON THE HIGHWAY AND 20 IN CITY DRIVING. ALL I CAN SAY IS TEST DRIVE ONE AND YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO....read morehide

- MPG, Stock HP, Styling, brakes
- I wish things came a little different from the factory but they are things I can change.
Overall the HHR SS is a great car. It's underrated by most people. Most won't give it a second though, but this is a car that can give many cars out there a run for their money.

- good looks, great milage i get 32 +, lots of room, best car ever
- noise when back windows are down at freeway speed
mine is a 2006 and it has 30,000 miles. its a great little car. i had a lot of new company cars (10 or 15) over the year so i know what good cars drive like. we are retired now and have taken several trips and its great. we love to go birding so i leave the back seats folded down all the time so i can put my spotting scope attached to the extended tripod for fast recovery from the back hatch when i see a bird to check out. we keep a packing blanket on the rear deck to save the floor from scratches. our trips usually go for more than 10 days so we pack a lot into the hhr. we have been in bad rain storms out in the bush and find that the rear hatch gives you enough cover in a rain storm to get your expensive equiptment put away before it gets wet. we service ours every 3000 miles and its never missed a beat. i was born in 49 and this little gem was bulit to look like a 49 truck so i know it was for me when it first came out. but it turned out to be a great car and soon i will get a second one. we will be a 2 hhr family...read morehide

- easy on gas. turn radius great,head/leg room good, ride o.k. easy in/out,insturments easy.
- road noise,
2007. 35000 mi. Easy to handle. peppy, stays with group in traffic, no problem parking. Passing gas stations.big enough for seniors, small enouigh for city driving. Have been a G.M. fan for 70 years. Buicks, and chevys. and chevy trucks. Never been dis-appointed. Averaged 60,000 miles yearly for thirty years. Least milage per vehicle, 120,000. Most, 200,000. Oil, brakes@ 30to 45000, no major work....read morehide

- No trim specified for this review
- I love the fuel economy. It was a downsize for use but one that was easy to make
- The cup holder is in an awkward position when you are driving and the seats are a tad too narrow.
My major complaint is a lound vibrating noise when you drive with the rear windows down. It is enough to cause you to cover your ears and throw on the brake. Of course who test drives with the windows down. We were told all HHR's do this. wish they would have told us that before we bought it.

- FUEL ECONOMY IS GOOD HANDLES WELL IN THE CITY
- LACKS ENOUGH ROOM FOR A ROAD TRIP NOT BAD FOR A DAY TRIP

- Appearance , price
- Too many squeaks and seats that are a bit too firm
I was first drawn to the car by its external appearance and today I took a long test drive. The car has plenty of power and rides fairly well on the highway. Unfortunately, the car I drove had a number of interior squeaks and rattles and the seats were a bit too firm for me. The deal breakers were the rattles. I haven't owned or driven a car in the last 10 years that has had even one rattle. That is, until I drive the HHR. It is too bad because I had hoped to purchase the car....read morehide

- Good gas milage. stylish
- To much outside noise, Small back seat. Baby carseat way to snug.
I owned a 2006 HHR, it was the best investment I had made. But then I got rid of it for a 2007 mazda cx7. The car is great but kinda hard to have a husband who is over 6'0 riding in a little HHR. I wish I would of never gotten rid of it. Great car. Did have alot of interior noises. Couldn't drive with windows down on highway. To much outside noise with windows up....read morehide

- good mpg, great power, very comfortable.
- visibility to sides
Got a chance to drive the HHR on a business trip when the rental place offered me the free upgrade. I was very impressed with the comfort and space. The fuel economy was great, that gas gauge hardly even budged. Power is much more than what you would expect from a four. Very solid vehicle all around and I am seriously considering purchasing one in the near future. This is an excellent choice to replace the lower mileage suv's out there....read morehide
