First, the Yahoo review incorrectly listed one of the negatives as rear drums. There are 4-discs on all Maxxs, and I can't understand how someone could write a review and make a specific complaint about something that doesn't exist. Did he actually review the car?!?!
I've had my Maxx for 6 weeks now. It has a supple ride and firm handling. Electronic variable power steering is just perfect for me. The wind and road noise are minimal and the stereo is a pleasure to listen to.
The car shares its architecture with the Saab 9-3. The engine mounting and suspension system effectively isolate vibration. The only rattle I heard was my key fob tapping the dash.
Overall it's a great value; it's loaded with features and practical for people and stuff hauling. It's also faster than I expected and the seat material is like the Lexus IS300.
