1999 Chevrolet Malibu

- Great for travel alone or multiple passengers, plenty of trunk space, inexpensive parts,
- Knocking in the steering column, back 3 spark plugs are impossible, tail lights are problematic
Purchased As Used
My Malibu has been dubbed "The Magic Green Taxi" because this car has been a reliable ride for numerous family members and friends, just in the years I have owned it. Not to mention that me and three passengers took a trip in the winter to go to an outdoor winter sports fest, and it held all of us and all of our snow gear! Low key to maintain, even with 200,000+ miles on it! Even being hit, backed in to, rear ended, spun out, etc.; this car has shown nothing but results. On the other hand, my tail lights are a non-stop battle for me, it has to be rewired in order to function properly again. When I took it in for a tune up, the quote could have been an easy bill, until he saw under the hood; the back 3 spark plugs require a full days work and a lot of money to replace! As far as the knocking, every shop says there is no way to make it stop, no matter what I have had done.
