2006 Chevrolet Malibu User Reviews
- $5,287 - $7,481
- good fuel economy I was impressed
- ride is smooth and nice
My complaint is I am rather short and I have trouble reaching the pedal on the floor this should have been higher up and alittle bigger pedal would be better. When I adjust the seat where I want it I cannot reach the pedal.
otherwise a good car and nice looking.

- Reasonable Price
- CLUNK in the Left Front End
23,000 miles on a new Malubu, and there is a clunk in the front end when turning the steering wheel or braking. GM has issued a "Service Bulletin" that they know about the problem -- and it is a big problem -- but to date they don't have a fix. GM has already recalled my car once and completely replaced the steering column. I was hoping this car would be an American equivalent of Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. FORGET ABOUT IT. The Japanese make better cars. No question about it....read morehide

- Car has excellent steering and is fun to drive. Transmision runs beautifully.
- Not available with a manual transmision.
I liked the car so much I went out and bought it. Plenty of room inside for the size of the car. Excellent pricing for what you get.

- car has fair gas mileage. depends on how a person drive.
- going uphill can be a battle
for a little bit more in pricing go for a honda accord LX. you can get a good honda with zero down with a monthly payment of around 350

- interurban fuel economy, driver seat, suspension, steering
- front too low, egg looking, urban fuel consumption
Very comfortable, easy to drive, well designed. I had Oldsmobile Alero. The Malibu is much much better

- handling during acceleration onto highway will scare you. hold the wheel with 2 hands
slightest variation in the interstate pavement as you accelerate during entrance will make you want to be sure there is a place in heaven for you.the car feels as if it may roll over.otherwise , good car .

- My 3rd Car The best ever!
- The only problem that i have found is that the Seats get derty fast .
This is my first american can ever and i have fallen in love with the malibu it has great pick Up .It's more faster than you would edpect it to be. I had a Toyota Camry and A honda And they were both V6 just like my malibu and its even better than my last 2 car's . The Onstar is great so is the 6cd changer and Xm radio Love the base . No need to buy a system the one that the malibu has is more than enofe. The Seat warmers work great love that feture as well . The adjustable Pedals are great for me and my wife. I love this car and its the best i hope to keep it for many years to come. Great Job Chevy....read morehide

- Good Fuel Economy, sound system, heated seats
- Minor problems between 5000 and 10000
I really liked the car when I first got it and I still do but not quite as much. Great fuel economy on the highway (30 MPG) but it suffers in heavy city driving (21 MPG) for this 2005, 3.5 L V6. The sound system is great and the heated seats warm up faster than any other car I've been in including Infinity, Ford 500 and Volkwagon Passat. Unfortunately, I had some trouble with the car. The fog lights would not turn on due to wire that had rubbed against something down to the bare conductor. This caused a short circuit and blew the associated fuse. Also, on a couple of very cold mornings the passenger side rear door would not latch closed after it was opened. When shut, it would bounce back open again. Had to slam it about 4 times before it would stay closed. Dealer fixed both but who wants to go back to the dealer with a new car? Even so, it drives great and overall I'm still satisfied. Would I buy again? At 500 miles my answer was definitely and at 10000 my answer is probably....read morehide
