This is the first Chevy I have bought. I tried out the Toyota Camray but found it to have more road noise than the Malibu. It did not shift as smooth as the Malibu or was the ride any better. I compared equal sticker prices on both cars (within $100.00 dollars)and was unable to get a fair price on my Chrysler Van on trade at the local Toyota dealer. I am now retired and was in sales and management for a total of 40YRS. I got a new vehicle about every two years. The Malibu is equal to some of the bigger cars I drove at a much better price. I have driven over 2.5 million miles in my life. If you can find a better car at a better price I suggest you buy it. However in my book that will be hard to do. This car is a joy to drive. I recently had it out on snow covered roads and I had no trouble with how it handled. If you want to be first away from traffic light or spin your tires buy a Corvette. MADE IN USA WITH OUR DOLLARS. Bought car at the end of March 2008. Now have 8.000 miles approx. as of Dec. 13.2008.
