- Reliable, Comfortable, Easy on the Budget - My best Car in the last 20 years

I bought my Monte Carlo new from the dealer and it's been hands down - the most reliable car I've ever owned. I now have 186K miles on the original motor. I never lose a drop of oil between oil changes and the engine still runs with same power as when she was brand new. The transmission is also original and shifts exactly as designed. In fact, after 13 years, the only major components I've had to replace would be the AC compressor, the Radiator and the Alternator. Regarding economy - this car gets between 28-32 MPG on the highway at 60MPH. Handling is predictable and smooth. And the anti-lock brakes have saved me from more than one accident. This car is without question the best car I've bought in the last 20 years....read morehide
