- Excellent vehicle for everyday use
- my wife wants to take it from me/ factory wheels
Update on my choice from Copydude 2/2 ACR and the Texas Hill Country. I purchased the Chevy after all, It has been an excellent vehicle and choice for my family, the 10,000 tow rating hauls my trailer and fmaily with no problems. I got the fully loaded version and can't be happier for my choice. The only thing I found that I didn't like was the factory wheels, with every other Surbaban havign 20's and this stuck with 16's it looks like it is riding on four donuts. I put after market 20's and it looks fantastic.
1 year and 10,000 miles of ownership and have no problems.
my set up is the 6 liter with the 410 geared rear end (3.73 is standard on the 2500 and 3.42 on 15's) I stayed with the bench in the back, adds room for one more person and keeps the kids from fighting over who sits where, heated seats on the bench are a nice plus and so is the mp3 inputs.
again opt for the nav system with the DVD and back up camera, it keeps you and this long beast out of trouble, and is a MUST fro backing up to your trailers, no more back and forth and jumping out of your truck to see if your lined up!...read morehide

- good economy, flexfuel, comfortable, great design in + out
- panel by the taillight is a little loose
I dont care what people are saying about "rattle rattle rattle squeak boom". The thing is called: over-exagerrating. There are no squeaks and definently no rattles! The only bad i can say about it is the side panel by my right taillight. It is the least bit loose. But seriously... it is an SUV... There is BOUND to be plastic here and there. By the way... you dont have to manually take out the seats... they flip fold... gives you enough space for what you need... but you shouldn't even have to flip fold them... its a suburban!! You have all the space you need without them folded...Yeah, ill say that ford went smart with the fold flat, but that doesn't mean the vehicle is better. Its just one more feature. But the chevy is just fine with the flip folds. The seats arent even that heavy. I mean... if you have to fit the dinosaur head in the suburban, you might have to take the seats out. But if you have something that big, where will it go in your house? I've weighed the seats. they are about 10 or 11 pounds. Big deal. And by the way, for some of you that think the outside is not up-to-date: take a look at it! It is the perfect family vehicle.
Thank you....read morehide

- fantastic looking Vehicle
- Can't decide between the Yukon or the Suburban
I am looking to buy and was fortunate enough to drive a 3/4 ton 4x4 Lt3 for a couple of days, I live in the Hill country of Texas and the vehicle took the curves and hills wonderfully, the Highway experience when we drove to San Antonio was impressive, I own a 04 Silverado 2500 4x4LT and my wife has an 06 Envoy Denalli XL, This truck blew the doors of my truck and surpassed my wifes with ride and luxury and hers is fully loaded also, the review camera in the Nav system is a must. The only problem I am having is tyring to decide wether to purchase the GMC, which has slighlty more comfortable seats, or the Chevy which looks alot better and more name recocnition.
I only wish is that the GMC had the Denalli or Cadallac the Escalade that could tow my 8600pd Travel Trailer....read morehide
