- carpool w/lots of kids...the noise reduction in amazing! MiniVans are loud; Suburbans somehow Not
Purchased As New
I have had mini vans and Suburbans. I thought I wanted a Mini van because it would save gas and drive more like a car. However, the savings on gas wasn't much. And I realized that I like the ride of the suburban better too. But their is something even more important that anything. SAFETY...
I have kids in the car with me all the time. 3 of my own...and usually their friends. Needless to say, car rides can get pretty rowdy. When I drove the minivan...I thought I was going to go crazy! I could not tolerate the noise. However, thank God I am back in a suburban where the sound seems to be somewhat muted and tolerable. Truth is, sanity plays a big part in safety. If you feel like you want to strangle the kids to get them quiet...you don't drive as well. If the noise level is tolerable...you keep your sanity, and everyone is safer in the car, and safer for those out there on the road with you as well.
SO, watch out for those CRAZY minivan drivers! I know how they feel...and thank God it isn't me anymore! You should be thanking him too... :-)
