2005 Chevrolet Tahoe User Reviews
- $9,083 - $10,833
- Size, abilty to fit 8, 4 kids and two adults comfortably. Excellent value for the price.
- Gas mileage, the '07 model is supposed to be redesigned I hope Gm finds a way to get better mileage!
I have an '04 with 12,000 miles on it, we have had it for 1 1/2 years, my wife drives it during the week and feels very safe and comfortable. It is great for hauling around the kids, we carpool with four kids during the week and it works great. Originally my wife wanted the Toyota Seqouia, but when the dealer played hardball we went to the nearest Chevy dealer and they were ready to make any deal possible. The car has never had a problem, very happy, look forward to the upgrades in '07, will buy another or a Yukon in '08....read morehide

- Gas Mileage
Ok....gas milage aside...this is a GREAT truck. I have already purt 94,000 miles on mine and other than tire and a grease and oil change, I have had NO problems. My wife and I throw the dog, skis and bikes in the back and still have plenty of room left. I will definately buy another one.

- This is a extremely safe car for the young driver.
Recently my 17 year old son had a bad accident, he totalled the car. But he still can walked out of the weckage with minor injury. The front of the vehicle is gone. I thank Onstar for the rapid rescue and I thank Chevy Tahoe for saving my son's life.

- Could not ask for anything more
- If there is something wrong I have not found it yet.
I traded my 04' Yukon in, because I just couldnt take the black anymore. Got a white 05 Tahoe, my good gosh, it has so much more toys on it, I'm talking I got it all, navigation, dvd, xm radio, fancy blinker in the turn signals, leather, sunroof, on star, you name it, it has it. rides better then the Yukon too! Was going to spend the extra 10k and get the Danali, but why??? This has everything the Danali has for less. Put some 20's on it and pimp....read morehide

- Comfortable smooth ride with lots of room, seats lay down for plenty of cargo space.
- The steering column is clunky and gas is sucked up with so much power.
I have been really impressed with my Tahoe. The room and towing capacity are great! We can load up for a weekend trip and pull a 19' bass boat with ease.

- Nice solid quiet vehicle. Interior and appearance are great/
- Powertrain "whine" at 45-60 mph.
I'm in the process of filing a "lemon law". This vehicle is a great car except for an extremely annoying drivetrain whine at 45-60 mph. My dealer replaced the rear differential as well as the 4wd transfer case. Noise still persists. After having so much trouble with this problem, I will not purchase another model of the same vehicle. I feel the problem is in the Stabilitrac system. Big headache....read morehide

- Great acceleration and room
- Too little storage inside
Great vehicle. Purchased it for my wife and I'm now jealous. Lots of room for the kids and their stuff, plenty of power to zip around with and a smooth, quiet ride. Gas mileage is about 17 with my conservative wife driving. Go for the LT and you'll never want for a gadget or a better ride. We have about 3,000 miles on it with no complaints. Would defintely buy again....read morehide
