- Fuel Economy, ride, cargo capacity, passenger space, great engine and transmission
I couldn't disagree more with the post "What a piece of junk". The only vehicles I've owned that were virtually trouble-free were Chevrolets and my TrailBlazer is no exception. After 21,000 miles in less than 1 year, the only maintenance is oil changes. And 20-21 mpg on the highway at normal highway speeds, heavy loads, AC and AWD is nothing to complain about. It certainly feels of a higher quality than any import I have driven. I drove a Honda CRV and Hyundai Tucsan. I Bought the TrailBlazer. It is an excellent velicle gaining more compliments than my Land Rovers....read morehide

Our second trailblazer and we have loved both of them. We have not had a problem with this car. We love the looks and how it drives. Plus it fits all of our "stuff".

- The interior is okay, but a lot of plastic. Most common problem is center console lid
Truck is a 2003, and I bought it new.
I tow both my boats with this truck, and I still do okay with mileage averaging around 14-17 depending on which boat I have in tow. (But a lot of that is high speed travel and not inner city stop and go).
The best I got out of it was 19.5mpg on the highway towing nothing on a long trip, so the estimated mpg from the factory is waaaaaaay off!
It does a lot better with mpg with the cruise set.
Power from the motor and torque from the rear end is fantastic for what I use it for, and am very pleased. It's been extremely reliable, and has never failed to start immediately in sub-zero temps, nor in 90+ degrees with the humidity being intense!
My only real complaint is the interior is mostly plastic, as everything now, but the center console should be better designed. If you have the habit of leaning on it like I do, the plastic guide pin will break and the lid won't stay closed then. The only way to fix this problem is a whole new lid,.... which does not come cheaply (although cheaply made)....read morehide

- Rides Nice and Smooth
- Aside from the poor quality materials, let us talk about how terrible the
Gas milege is. Less than 15 on the hwy. Additionally, I have had mine for a couple fo years and it is worth less than 1/4 the sticker price. The buttons are worn down as a result of cheap plastic materials probably manufactured in China and used here. This vehicle was over $30K and is a total waste of money. Garbage would be best to describe it, literally. I had a 4runner prior to this and I have to say that the Japanese are FAR SUPERIOR auto makers and I am going straight back to Toyota/Lexus when this junk heap goes back!...read morehide
