- Handling, Good performance, Looks awesome, XM and OnStar
- Transmission downshifts to a spot where you're already at 5k RPM, Too many things have gone wrong.
I bought this vehicle for the performance and hopefully the confidence and reliability of a brand new spacious vehicle. The performance is great except for the transmission downshifting to a high RPM. The heated seats are nice but not that comfortable. The interior seems cramped. The shifter should be on the column to have better use of space. You can't even get a large coffee mug in two of the cupholder because they're too close to the console. For increased visibility, I leave the rear seat headrests lowered. And lets talk about repairs. My SS has 8k miles on it. So far the lower radiator hose, all the internal parts of the rear differential, a rear tie-rod, and the passenger window regulator have had to be replaced. That's a lot of trips to the dealership for repairs. Not what I'd expected for a new vehicle. And what is up with the thermometer not being accurate when you start the vehicle. My '02 explorer's is instantaniously accurate. I've waited 15 minutes once for it to indicate the temperature accuratly....read morehide

- A sneaky surprise to those in the charger r/t or Impala ss that try to pass you on the highway.
- Bit of oversteer under acceleration in a corner. A dual exhaust would be nice.
Lots of torque and very easy to tune with bolt on parts. There is around another 100 hp hiding in the LS2 that can be unleashed with just a few tweaks of the exhaust, intake, and computer. Other than the gas mileage it is a fun family suv with tow rating that is twice that of a grand cherokee srt8.

- Overall well done-too many to list!
- A bit of wind noise but nothing else of concern
I factory ordered mine in the summer of 2007 and as a result I was one of the first ones in Canada to have a fully loaded SS3 AWD. Was I ever glad I went for it because I believe this is the last year and will likely become a collector

- AWESOME POWER, Great looks! Great sound system, 100K warantee!
- Likes to drink gas. Wish you could turn off Trac Control
Buy it and Drive it! 100,000 mile five year warantee! All wheel drive 400ft lbs of torque! Major fun to drive! Nav sys is not like my other one in our Acadia. I wish that the systems were the same. If I could make one complaint it would be the NAV Sys as it is 50/50 in my eyes. For the cost it should be like the system in the 2008 GMC Acadia....read morehide

- great value
- last year being produced
i just purchased a 2008 TB 3SS. This rocket rumbles with a deep mellow tone when you put the foot to the pedal. Its fully equipted with just about all factory options except remote start. I read many negative reviews about this vehicle so i opted for the extended service coverage 100000 or 4 years. The manufacturer still has the 100000 or 5 coverage added in for the powertrain. The truck is physically awesome. Its amazing how just by lowering this bad boy and putting the 20 inch blades ( on the impala ) could make such a difference when compared to the other models. I heard complaints about the fuel economy my answer to those cheap skates is " who's paying for the gas" and they silence themselves. Next to the magazine critics who write about the interior. I like it. and thats whats important. I dont care that you dont like it. Its black basic black and thats what makes it so appealing. Its not meant to look like an interior out of buck rogers. Its clean mean basic black to get the job done. The dash still has four gauges not counting the speedo and tach. How many vehicles still have that. Not even the magum or the grand cherokee srt8. how can you have a muscle car or truck without gauges. how cheap is that if you want to call GM stingy. It has heated leather seating sunroof ONSTAR telephone, XM radio rear DVD, CD and bose ac and heat that would blast you away now what else is there that i possibly need. If you really want to sound off on it. I would say who would be crazy enough to put a vette powerplant into a truck and who would be crazyer enough to buy it. Happy Trails to you VAROOM! as i pass you by and you admire the black beauty that just smoked you. Its a speciality ride for special peeps.

- Great power & handling. No other SUV comes close & not many cars either
- Fuel economy not to good, but the power & handling makes up for it.
If the gas mileage doesn't bother you this is the best SUV on the market. It is fast & goes up & down mountian roads like they aren't there. The handling is better compared to a sports car & the stopping is up there with the best. GM put it all together with this SUV & it's built to handle the power. One of the most enjoyable vehicles I've ever driven. It'll only get 16-18 on a trip & with the 10.9 compression high test gas is a must....read morehide
