- Big Family Car, Ours seats 8,
- Odd placement of seatback adjustment. No power seat on LS model
Purchased As New
Overall the Traverse is a great car. My wife wanted a seven to eight seat car to replace our minivan and we found it with this car. The third row has enough room for two 6ft adults. It's a big vehicle and my wife averages 17-18mpg with mainly city driving. GM did a good job on this vehicle but in my opinion it's a little pricey. - Great fuel economy, SPACE!, towing capacity, rides smoothly
- Slightly slow to downshift, a little plastic feeling on the inside
I spent a lot of time researching which car would best fit my needs. I was looking for a car that could seat 7 or 8, got good gas mileage, and could do some towing. I was strongly considering the Toyota Highlander or Honda Pilot. However, there were things missing in the Toyota and Honda that were important to me that I found in the Traverse. Things such as luggage capacity behind the third row, greater towing capacity, and spilt seating. Some of these features are found in either the Toyota or the Honda but not all of them at once. I did find all of these things in the Traverse however and I must say on looking back that I am not dissapointed with my choice. As mentioned by somebody else, this car is almost identical to the Saturn Outlook, GMC Acadia, & Buick Enclanve but comes in at a cheaper price. To top it all off, the gas mileage has been as good as advertised so far. Really can't find much to complain about. Good luck reader!...read morehide
