- Quite and well made. Fuel economy is out of this world.

I've read quite a few professional reviews of this car and most seem to miss the mark. For example, one reviewer suggested the console controls were hard to find and use. It took me no time at all to figure them out. They are well placed and easy to use. Another pro reviewer suggested the brakes had an issue. I find no issue at all with them, they work just fine even under hard braking.
When we first got the car we drive it 820 miles on the highway at speeds of 70+ much of the time. The car got 41 mpg which included uphill through mountains. Since we returned, we have driven it around town for another 800 miles and have only used 0.75 gal. of gas. Most of our trips around town are within the 40 mile, or so, range of the battery charge. Even in the cold weather we get 40 miles on a charge and have even gone 47 miles on just battery power in 50 degree F weather. It gets better as the temperature gets warmer.
The car allows one to set the time for charging the battery in the morning hours when electrical rates are low. This way we can charge the car for around 35 cents. Although, you may want to check if there is an additional charge for going over a certain amount of KWH in a month.
The car is solid, quiet and the seats are very comfortable. The seats are not of the automatic type, but they are easy to adjust.
Of course, on great advantage with the car is with all of the reuable power generation going on line one can also really reduce ones carbon footprint as well.
If you have heard a lot of negative publicity about this car, don't believe that stuff. Try it yourself, it's great.
