Purchased As New
I wasn't planning on getting a Volt, but one test drive was all that it took to convince me. After 6 weeks of ownership, I'm still completely sold on the Volt. It has nearly all of the advantages of an electric car without the range anxiety. I can usually make my 41 mile daily commute on battery power alone while using gas for longer weekend getaways. An unexpected benefit is that the Bose stereo sounds awesome with the lack of background engine noise. The purchase price after discounts, rebates and tax breaks was reasonable costing about the same as a similarly equipped 4 Cyl Honda Accord. I have been charging on a regular 110V wall outlet which works for me but does bring up my one complaint. The car allows for 12Amp charging (10 hours for a full charge) or 8 Amp (14 hours) but defaults to the latter and must be reset every time. I blame GM's lawyers for that annoyance.
