truly a quality car

by Brian from albany new york (10/07/08)
Pros:excellent handling, quiet ride, looks great! bluetooth is very usefull
Cons:back seat interior could be a little better

I've always owned Japanese carstest drove the honda accord and drove my father in laws camry. both the 4 cyl and 6 cyl malibus truly drive better than either model. I was suprised to find that the 4 cyl honda accord was quite underpowered.

people frequently compliment the nice look to the car (and are suprised it's a chevy).

if you drive a lot and need to make phone calls, the standard bluetooth on the 2009 is great.

I've had my 6 cylinder LTZ for about 2 weeks and so far am very happy with it. I am averaging about 23.5 mpg with 60-70% city driving and 30-40% hwy.
this truly feels like a quality car. if I had known at the time there was a 4 cyl ltz, maybe would have bought that for the better mileage.

Great Choice!

by Don Walker from Laurel, MD (10/06/08)
Pros:ride, luxury feel, perks
Cons:none so far

Just bought a 2009 LTZ 4 cylinder 6 speed auto. So far, so good. Nice ride and nice looks. My wife just recently bought a 2009 Altima 2.5 SL. I feel my car just beat her car all the way around from performance to drive to looks. I think GM is on the right track, keep up the great work!

Beautiful Package for the Price

by Brian from Raynham Massachusetts (10/05/08)
Pros:Great Value for the money. Head Turning looks.Comfortable, tight and quiet.
Cons:Front door opening is narrow. C Pillar has a large blind spot.

The L4 is adequete and gets reasonable MPG's. Does well on the highway.
The ride is firm, almost sporty, but comfortable. Gives a feeling of confidence.
The interior in my opinion is excellent. The Cocao and Cashmere interior Colors with the White Exterior are a winner. Add the Chrome facia Wheels that look better than most factory Alloy wheels and it is a very attractive package.
The interior egonomics are superior. They layout makes sense and the large buttons and knobs will allow you to make adjustments even wearing gloves. Important to us up north. Add to that the security and conveience of OnStar and you way ahead of the competition.
The exterior is a beautiful package for a 4dr sedan. The use of a rear side marker lamp that allows for a clean quarter panel is a nice touch. No more ridiculous looking Tail Lamps wrapping around from the rear. The exterior is aggressive, sporty, and sleek without being obnoxious like so many others. I enjoy driving this Car.

Fantastic Auto

by Kathy from Missouri (10/03/08)

I love my Malibu! After owning two Acura's and a Mercedes, I rate this car right up there with them! It is probably one of the most comfortable and luxurious cars for the money. The redesign and classiness of this model makes it feel, ride, and drive like an expensive foreign car. Chevy really out did themselves when they made the new Malibu! I give it 5 stars all the way!

Can Not Go Wrong

by LesO from Phoenix Az (10/02/08)
Pros:Peppy four, comfortable on long trips, and good trans
Cons:gas mileage in traffic because the car is heavy. turning radius

Chevy has a winner. I have the four cylinder six speed trans and love the combo. I just took a long trip and was able to pass long trucks with ease. Averaged twenty seven. Every once in a while I find myself out in the garage admiring it. Do yourself a favor and drive one. Buy American.

GM fails to produce even an average car. Pathetic

by Mark kingston from Buffalo Wyoming (9/24/08)
Pros:Good fuel economy
Cons:Rough ride, lack of comfort, sensors were very faulty.

I am looking to purchase a new car. I figured I would rent several cars to find out how they drive. I was hoping that GM had finally hit a homerun and was making a dent in the automobile world. I decided I wanted a real test so I drove this new supposed world-beater by GM from Wichita to Montana (I also drove several other vehicles on this same route).

The Malibu is the worst new car I have ever driven. The seats were pathetic, the way this machine handled was horrible, and this vehicle struggled horribly to drive from Cheyenne to Sheridan Wyoming. If this Chevy struggles being a new vehicle just wait for a couple of years when it will be a no go. The sensors were terrible, for example the tire sensor went on claiming that the right front tire was low – the tire that was low was the right rear. I also had to add three quarts of oil due to the fact it burned up oil at a tremendous rate.

Best car in my test drive Honda Accord, next Nissan Altima, than Mercedes-Benz C350, than Toyota Cam. and the worst vehicle - the Chevy Malibu.

General Motors has a FANTASTIC automobile

by sonny ruggiero from west barnstable ma. (9/23/08)
Pros:excellant ride good fuel econ
Cons:none

Im purchased my Malibu in May 2008. This car is fantastic, the ride is smooth especially for a 4 cyl. vehicle. The style is a neat looking vehicle as well as the inside interior. Plenty of room and comfort. Now I cant say enough about the gas mileage as thats just terrific. I would highly recommend the Malibu to anyone.

Can't say enough great things about this car

by Lucy from Rhode Island (9/21/08)
Pros:comes with every bell and whistle, great gas mileage
Cons:haven't found one yet

i traded in my four wheel drive suv for this car (2009 LTZ) - bought it within the first 15 minutes at the dealership and I couldn't be happier - the gas mileage is great and the ride is quiet and smooth. This car turns heads everywhere the outside looks like a sports car and the interior is luxurious - and yet it is comfortable and practicable

Great piece of American-made craftsmanship!
