The paint job looks like glass

by Yogi Bear from Columbus, GA (11/08/07)
Pros:Excellent look, better than Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima and Honda Accord

Wow, I am currently looking for a vehicle. I have been to the Honda Dealers in Columbus, GA who just about will not let you out of the door if you are not ready to buy. That really turned me off. They were like bulldogs chancing meat. Really desperate acting. I have been to Toyota, Nissan and others but, none compare to this car. Right now they only have 1 2008 Malibu on the show room floor. But, hands down in reference to look. The Malibu wins. The car feels bigger, looks like an expensive car, much more styling and a lot of features that come with even the base model, not cheap looking. The paint job is ridicoulously good; it looks like glass. It is a must see.. It is about time a company makes something that is worth the price consumers pay. Could not test drive, but I am waiting for the shipment to come in. I hope it drives as good as it looks. Toyota, Nissan, Honda ought to worried if these cars driving performance and resale value matches its look. If so, this will be the car I buy.
Although Chevy's historys with cars is not good, I will give them a chance because they seem to want to change that image. With the 10 year warranty, I am going to have to betray my favorit car makers Honda and Toyota. Hope Chevy backs up their word..If so, you have a new buyer for life.

super nice car

by calven james from new orlean la (11/01/07)
Pros:lets you know if you out of gas
Cons:runs go on high way

lots of space and good in cold weather.its a good traveling car with cell phone.lots of room in the back site.it also has a new look in the front of the grills.less engen nosie than toyota.biger and cheaper to fix than toyota.biger gas tank, radio is louder.more truck space, more protection for a accedent ,lots of leg room,ac can run u out of car,it's so cold.thats the way i like it.the women always look two times.i like the automatic doors and locks.and push buttom gas tank to open.automatic lights sencer for day to night lights up the dash board.if you buying a used car.the car runs best on new tires, oil change sprak plugs, brakes, front wheel lining.radiator 50 percent half water half fluit, fesh engine belts and transmission fluit change with screen.if you buy a used car make shore it backs up and the ac/radio work and no crak windows.and check for oil leaks dents car low milege.radiator and power steering leaks.if tires wear is not good you must buy new tires the same day you ride of lot .because it's dangerous to drive a car with low trated tire.the car could easly spin out on a wet high way with out warning at 20 miles to 30 mph,but thats with all cars.new tires are verey in portaint.but you have like 24 hours to bring the car back if you don't want it.but most of the time it they give otu of 7am till office clousing on the same dayyou need to pay a lawyer for that 24 hour thing.the battery must be looked at but .before you dive a use car off the lot.don't count on a worker to tell you your battery cable is on tight. fix it your self.you see most used cars have lousing cables from the road pot wholes.most cables be not on right because auto shops jump used cars for setting to long in the lot.this moves the battery and it louse in the long run.if you don;t do it your self.you will find your self of a way with youe car shoutting down on a dark road .all ways check your lights in side and out ,on the dash test ac,heater, seats.even tuch the engen for dust to see if the seals or up to date for leaks.never buy at sticker price ,all ways ask low than the price say.if they don't let you .hit the door.always be in control of the price never go out of your buget.they job is to get all the money they can out you.your job is to pay what you have, not to get a loan from a bank to pay the other half.

Malibu leaves Toyota Camry & Accord in the dust!

by Paul from CA (10/17/07)
Pros:Chevrolet Malibu becomes a better car in style, ride, power and warranty!
Cons:Toyota Camry is dump by Consumer Report due to bad transmission, plus Lexus!

The day came that Chevrolet hit the jackpot on the design of the new Malibu! Its styling is the ideal concept for all GM cars from now on and not be left in the dust by the Toyota and Honda cars! The best thing GM did also was incorporated a long, 10 year warranty for their cars, which translates to quality and pride by America's number 1 automaker!

Straight from the horses mouth

by MD from Kansas City, Ks. (9/02/07)
Pros:The standard things make this vehicle a top buy hands down.
Cons:It could not be availible 10 years ago.

I build this car , yes I am an auto worker, so is my fiance'. She works at Ford and once she saw the car ( a base model LS) she was in aw. Oh the car is not a classic like you have noted, and there is no LT2, but there is a LTZ. This is a remarkable car and my fello auto workers and myself love this car. This car will keep us working for a long time. So if you own a Malibu or you are a Chevy lover than get ready come October!

GM got a winner to compete with Toyota or Honda.

by Frank from CA (6/11/07)
Pros:Nice looking sedan, with good power on engine and comfortable ride
Cons:To be more competitive with Toyota and Honda, clip your price a little or add features!

This sedan is the new look of Chevrolet and it is better looking than Toyota Camry, Nissan Maxima or Altima which looks like the transformers or monsters and Honda Accord. The fuel consumption of this car is efficient at 32MPG, just like a compact. It's a winner by GM!

Fine Machine.

by WhiteStallion from San Bernardino, CA (5/23/07)
Pros:Good and could be made better
Cons:Needs more noise reduction

If this car is made available to any middle class person and lowered on price, it should sell 2 to 1 over Toyotas or Nissans.
Suggest you reduce your price and make it better than Toyo.
Also do something about the resale value on all American Cars/Trucks.

Ugly face ...nice tail

by Bill Morris from Dallas, TX (5/14/07)
Pros:bang for buck
Cons:front end

This is a big step from the current Malibu. Powertrain combo is great. Chassis is tight. It should ride like the Saturn Aura. But Chevy designer messed up the front end. Who was desinging the front end shouldn't be designing cars. What a ugly front end. Ig Chevy fixing the front end, I would bet Chevy will outsell the camry.

THE BEST LOOKING CAR WITH THE BEST WARRANTY TODAY!

by Harry from CA (5/10/07)
Pros:A VERY GOOD CHOICE OF CAR; STYLING, MPG, POWER, WARRANTY, RIDE
Cons:NONE TO NOTICE.

THE GM PEOPLE REALLY DID THEIR BACKGROUND CHECK IN FINDING THE RIGHT MIX TO COME OUT WITH THIS NEW MODEL. THE STYLING IS SUPERB, THE HANDLING IS TIGHT, THE RIDE IS COMFORTABLE, THE POWER IS GREAT, THE MPG IS AFFORDABLE AND THE WARRANTY IS OUTSTANDING. I RECOMMEND THIS MALIBU TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR THE BEST DESIGN AND ENGINEERING WORK. FORGET THE TOYOTAS, HONDAS OR NISSAN AND BUY THE BEST OF THEM ALL!
