Purchased As Not Purchased
Well I just turned one in after having it as a rental for 30 days. What a dog! Yes it does look cool on the outside. Inside it's another story. Cheap plastic flimsy stuff all over. Flat seats with no support. It is oddly built with a mishmash of ill fitting components. the stock radio was decent. The drive was at first quite comfortable if not a little too cushy. After driving for more than 1 hour to anywhere it is fatiguing. It handles OK for a brand new front wheel drive sedan. Make no mistake this car is nothing like a Hyundai Elantra, Nissan Altima or Toyota Corolla. All of those other 3 I have also rented for extended periods - and would ask for them again!
The big problem is the woefully under powered engine and drive train mix. I suspect it could be improved with a revised transmission. Upon mild to moderate acceleration the engine sounds and feels as if it is going to die. Under hard acceleration its just pathetic and embarrassing to drive.
Do us a favor Detroit - please stop exporting them!
