i recently purchased this car about 4 months ago when i first seen it i was very impressed by the way it looked very clean and also sporty yet roomy.it only had 1 owner and is at 123,000.00 miles the trunk lever is broke so the trunk does not stay open, also the stabilizer links need to be replaced but other than that the car drives excellent especially on the highway.it has the horsepower to go fast and the comfort as well for a family.looking foward to taking it on vacation.the only problem is my husband had to replace the airconditioning belt and after that he told me he would never work on that car again. very frustrating to do one little belt!...read morehide

The person who wrote the blurb for Yahoo is wrong. Chrysler also made an LXI trim level with a 3.2 V6 with about 225 horsepower and about the same fuel economy. This car has the Infinity stereo system with a combo cassette and CD player, leather seating, automatic temp control, leather power seats and power everything else. The Concorde has the power and comfort of yesteryear with modern safety and fuel economy along with fantastic handling for a land yacht/starship sized car. The car has surprisingly good fuel economy, it's not hard at all on long trips to hit 30-32 mpg which makes me quite happy with the fluctuation in fuel prices. The Concorde has more than twice the horsepower of my '89 LeBaron coupe with a four cylinder and gets the same mileage in a larger more comfortable car.
My Concorde is ten years old and a little quirky with the security system but it has 130,000 miles on it. Keep up the scheduled maintenance and this car will serve you well. Most bad reviews were for the infamous oil sludging 2.7 car. Take good care of a 3.2 car and expect to go far. People who complained about getting transmissions rebuilt and having them fail again were ripped off because the transmission really needed just a solenoid pack and not an entire rebuild. Using the correct transmission fluid is also critical. Make sure when you replace your timing belt to also replace the water pump and the tensioner/idler pulley and you're good for years. Timing belt replacement by shade tree mechanics is not for the faint of heart because of the cab forward packaging but no worse than any other modern car. Brakes are best with premium pads. Better tires make the road noise go away.
After ten years, the strawberry pearl coat still looks good. It had lost the cowl trim on the hood before I bought it, and I will replace that soon.
I'm used to 1960's-1980's ergonomics so it took a little getting used to having everything on stalks but I adapt quickly.
It's a shame that the extremely poor way Daimler treated Chrysler and Chrysler's customers did serious damage to Chrysler's quality reputation just as they were finally getting it back in the 1990's. However, the low resale value of these cars make them a bargain for someone who wants a car with timeless styling, great fuel economy, handling and room....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.
