- Pros
- Nice ride and drive. Comfortable for family of five.
- Cons
- Slow pick up on highway.
Purchased As Used
We have had one for five years and added three kids and believe the Pacifica to be family friendly. Interior holds up well over time. Fair cost of ownership with regular maintance we have had only 2 motor mounts replaced. Over all good quality car for the money.

- Pros
- This is better than my husbands MB'09 slc550 -ride and comfort10*'s- Everything Ford has now
- Cons
- Because it is an AWD I get fewer MPG than I would like. Otherwise, It's all 4 on the Road baby!
Purchased As New
I love this car. Period. It rides, corners and drives beyond anything else out there. This is one car Chrysler should have kept making. I had all the 'goodies' that GM/Ford are adding now, back in '05. One comfortable beautiful sleek nice ride. This Limited, in black pearl with green metal flake, makes everyone envy me. And, they should. Even my 24 year old son wants to drive it....read morehide

- Pros
- Very spacious, Sits up higher than a car, great looks, I feel VERY safe during the winter!
- Cons
- AWD takes getting used to, gas mileage could be better, discontinued
Purchased As Used
I just purchased a used 2005 Pacifica Touring with low miles, after saying goodbye to my beloved Chrysler T&C. I didn't think I would want anything other than another T&C, but once I drove this car, I was hooked! It did take me a bit to get used to the AWD, but it was really a very minor thing. So far I am extremely happy with the purchase and my kids want to drive for no reason now because they love it! My favorite part about this vehicle is the option to have more "people" space, or more "cargo" space. I was concerned that I wouldn't have as much space in this car as I did in my van, but if I put the seats down flat, I have plenty for what I need! =) I haven't yet run into a situation where I didn't have enough room.
The gas mileage could be a bit better, but its no worse than if I had bought a van.
I am sad to see this car go! I hope Chrysler brings it back so I can buy another one when this one is done!...read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Can be tricked out, pimped and butched up sweetly!
- Cons
- Sucks GAS! 17.9 AVG between city and hwy. Lose the emergency brake, it interferes with long legs!!!!
Smooth a ride as a Cadillac! Rear differential prone to Axle seal leaks. Buy the extended warranty for the tranny, it will more than likely blow and will cost you 3k to replace! Not the best driving SUV since it struggles in tight turns. Mine stickered at $39, 585 with every option including NAV and Sirrius. I paid 27k for it with 19k miles. Much nicer than my 2001 Highlander that I paid the same amount for with 30k on the odometer. I bought the OEM chrome kit and rain guards. Plan on spraying the brake calipers Ferrari Red so as to set off the 19" chrome wheels. Mine is black and hard to keep clean but when shined up, there is no better looking SUV on the road. I think you should BUY IT UP!...read morehide

At only 30K miles, the AWD unit on my 2004 Pacifica broke while driving on a busy 3 lane street. Car swerved and came to sudden stop, luckily I wasn't going very fast and the other traffic managed to avoid me. If you are looking for a safe vehicle, this is not it! Don't be fooled by the sleek looks and comfortable interior. I am going to switch back to European or Japanese made cars, probably more reliable than this....read morehide

- tranny, suspension, electrical problems since the day I bought this car!!!
I have had the transmission ans frontend suspension replaced three times each as well as an overhaul of the electrical sytem. And most recently, after replacing the brakes...brake failure!!! Chrysler refuses to stand behind their product and are not willing to admit this car is a lemon. These cars are not built for their weight and everyone that I speak to that has one has the same exact problems...living in Manhattan I run into quite a few of these car owners in garages.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this model car!!!!!!!!!!!!...read morehide2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

- stalls while driving
I have had this car for 2 months and it stalls while I am driving. The power steering freezes and I cannot maneuver the car. It has happened around town and while I was on the interstate. I am fortunate I have not been seriously injured along with my 2 children. The dealership cannot identify the problem and therefore says that nothing is wrong. I am taking steps towards filing a lemon law complaint. I am trying to get help from Chrysler, but the customer service representative told me there is nothing they can do unless they can determine the problem....read morehide

- Pros
- Size, turn radius, comfort, smooth drive, nice look
- Cons
- The middle seat could fold a little easier.
I feel horrible that some of the other reviewers had such a hard time. There are lemons with any make and model of car. I have been lucky either that I didn't get a lemon or that I choose a great vehicle.
When we first spotted this car I was looking for an SUV. Everything seemed very large on the outside with not much on the inside. My husband saw the Pacifica out of the corner of his eye. From the look of the outside I thought that it would never accomodate any kind of hauling or cargo needs. My husband insisted we check it out thouroughly. We did and I found that it had just as much true cargo room as any of the other SUVs we looked at (such as the Jeep G.C. and Ford Expl.).
The Pacific is also much easier to park due to it's size. It has the lowest roll over rate for it's weight class and is in the same price range.
People in the other reviews complain about the gas mileage. I wish that they would realize that this is more SUV than sedan. It will not get the same mileage as a Camry, Accord, etc. The extra weight also adds to the safety.
Once I drove this vehicle I realized that this was it for me. I have been very happy with it so far and highly reccomend that people consider it before getting an even worse gas guzzling SUV or sacrificing cargo haul and safety to a sedan....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Fuel Economy, Always in shop for same repair
I am a 24 yr old mother of 3. When I bought our Pacifica I wanted something sporty and reliable with enough room for our family of 5. Ever since I bought the vehicle I have had it in the shop 5 times in 4 months for the exact same problem that has never been fixed-my fuel gauge does not work. My husband and I have run out of gas because of it. The gauge bobs up and down at times and then it will tell you are on 1/2 tank and the next second you are on empty empty. Not good or reliable. Yesterday they supposedly fixed it again but if it doesn't work as usual I am demanding a refund!! The gas mileage is not the greatest and cargo room -well what cargo room. Would never by a Pacifica again!!...read morehide
