2005 Chrysler Pacifica User Reviews
Limited AWD shown
- $5,309 - $8,044
- Looks Realy Nice in the Driveway
- always comes back from the dealer clean
My car is always clean---cleaned by the dealer all the time. The reason my 6 month new Pacifica has 5000 miles on it is that it is 60 miles round trip to the dealer. My first new car in 17 years and always in the shop. I will never purchase another chrysler again in my life!!!!

- The vehicle is attractive and comfortable. Cargo area is roomy.
- does not get the gas mileage chrysler reports.
I purchased my pre-owned 2005 Pacifica Touring AWD with leather (19,500 miles) November 16, 2005. I had it four days when I noticed a weird noise in the left front. It went into the shop for nearly 3 weeks for replacement of front left axle and transfer case. It runs ok now, but the gas mileage I'm getting in town is 14 to 15 mpg. I havent had it on a road trip yet, but I dont expect to get 22 mpg as stated in advertising. The Nissan dealer I purchased it from ordered an owners manual for me. You would think the previous owner would have left the manual with the car. The jury is still out on the cars performance....read morehide

- Great freeway/interstate touring,beautiful leather interior,stereo,DVD
- Inner city mileage, hilly streets first gear is not low enough, rear vision
We bought Chrysler Certified Used, 8/80 protection included. Was built in Canada Oct 04, and runs smooth. The Pacifica Touring is much like the Mercedes R500, but far cheaper! We have gone on long family trips up to the Sequoia National Park (twisting roads-high elevation), no problems, great performance. The kids in rear seats watch DVD with wireless headphones, while we listen to radio up front. The remote control-activated rear door (or liftgate) is handy, even closes remotely with safey feature preventing any harm. All doors close solidly, the vehicle is very safe. Stop & go driving on rough city streets is not the best terrain for this Tourer. Steep hilly residential streets (low speed) will force the transaxle into first, and the gas mileage will suffer in these situations, as gearing is under-powered. Driver's vision out the back windows is limited for short persons when backing up in store parking lots. Rear seats fold down for generous cargo room when needed. The leather interior is better than the cloth model, zone climate controls are great. Nice vehicle overall in a category all its own. Look for Certified Used model....read morehide

- Loaded with Luxury!!! I LOVE THIS CAR
- Blind spots... but you get used to it - mirrors work well
I have never loved a car before.... BUT we love this car. The Pacifica has changed raod travel for us! Excellent with kids - between the Nav. System and DVD system.... traveling with or without kids has never been more relaxing.
This car is full of bells and whistle and has never let us down. Love the safety aspects, heated seats, nav system, power lift gift, etc.... there so much to rave about.
I though that it would be nice if the wign mirrors had a heating elements for those cold snowy - or worse ice days.
Way to go Chrysler - you have a fan here! We would definitely buy another....read morehide

- No trim specified for this review
- Very attractive - great handling - quiet operation
- no problems yet
What an attractive looking vehicle. inside and out. very luxurious. I find this 05 touring Pacifica is very comfortable vehicle to ride in. I find this vehicle handles exceptionally well. It has comfortable seating space and you certainally don't feel boxed in. My wife sure likes the backup safety feature that tells her when she gets close to another vehicle. I find that this Pacifica make you feel secure when accelerating through the corners. I have to compliment the owner and staff at Cranbrook Dodge for their complete professionalism and the courtesy that they endeavour to provide each and every occassion that I have visited the dealership. I would recommend anyone to drive one of these Pacifica's...read morehide

- It's a nice looking vehicle
- Spends more time at Chrysler for repairs
First of all -- NEVER BUY FROM CARY AUTO PARK CHRYSLER (CARY, NC) THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE---When I first bought the 05 Pacifica the end of April 05. I thought it was the best thing out there. Don't believe the gas economy sticker... It only get 17 in the city and maybe 20 at best on the highway doing 50 forbid if you drive faster than that! This car spends more time at Chrysler. First the brakes were squealing after the first month which-they still do-chrysler can't seem to get the "dust" of out them? , they high intensity discharge lamps are out of alignment. Which chrysler can't seem to align them correctly.People keep flashing me because they think my high beams are on! Then the rear DVD went out with DVD's in it (I'm still waiting for the return of my things!), the car cuts off at random (MAJOR PROBLEM)when making left or right and especially u-turns - the experts have no clue what's wrong with this car, the heater has repeadedly stopped working. I told them it was the thermostat but Chrysler insisted that it was low on coolant-- how could that be when it was just their for regular service maintenance. Which they are supposed to check all fluids. Did they really even change the oil???? Then the electrical stopped working for some reason - Nothing in the interior would come on - I had to use the key itself to unlock the doors because the remote was USELESS!!! The sirius satellite radio was a waste - I changing to XM. The navigation system- where do I begin! It doesn't even know where it's going half the time. The transmission acts funny at high speeds-they don't know what's wrong with it either. They can't seem to figure that one out. I think Chrysler needs to retrain their mechanics since they are the ones who should be the experts-but yet they don't know what's wrong with the car. They fix one thing only to create another problem. Had I known about all of these problems I would have with this car. I would have definitely bought something else. I WILL NEVER BUY another Chrysler again. I didn't have this many issues with my Mazda. I drive the Mazda more because at least I know it won't cut off at random. They are going to recall the entire car eventually because of all the problems -- they should go back to the drawing board with this one! Research the lemon laws where you live... I am researching the one in NC and if they have one--I can't wait to give it back under the lemon law!...read morehide

- Nice look, drives smoth,
- fuel economy
I recently bought the Pacifica and I am very impressed. The car is great for someone who doesnt like bulky vans or SUVs. It is almost like a luxurious station wagon. The ride is great and it has a lot of power. However, the the best mileage I have ever got with it it 17miles to a gallon.

- looks nice
- spends more time in the shop than on the road
37K miles on the car, and no end in sight to the problems. transmission (twice), display cluster, navigation system, starter switch, dare i go on? the dealers service techs have no clue. you would think that as often as the thing goes in for warranty repairs, they would look it over.....they fix a problem - hand it back saying it is ok and find they have created a new problem. i have purchased Chrysler my whole life and unfortunately will never buy another one....read morehide

- Lots of luxury at a good price, long trips in style, comfort, ride, awd in winter
- a bit slow in town, city mpg
We've had it for about 18 months and 25,000 miles. No mechanical problems to report. Very smooth and comfortable, especially on long trips. Gas mileage is good on the highway, 22-23 mpg and the 250hp engine is pretty fun to drive once up to speed. It won't win any races of the line however.
Very comfortable and luxurious car for a reasonable price. Get the leather and buckets in the back. We got silver with light leather interior and chrome wheels. The dark leather was a bit too dark and cavernous for us - you may like it however....read morehide
