2005 Chrysler Pacifica

- Great freeway/interstate touring,beautiful leather interior,stereo,DVD
- Inner city mileage, hilly streets first gear is not low enough, rear vision
We bought Chrysler Certified Used, 8/80 protection included. Was built in Canada Oct 04, and runs smooth. The Pacifica Touring is much like the Mercedes R500, but far cheaper! We have gone on long family trips up to the Sequoia National Park (twisting roads-high elevation), no problems, great performance. The kids in rear seats watch DVD with wireless headphones, while we listen to radio up front. The remote control-activated rear door (or liftgate) is handy, even closes remotely with safey feature preventing any harm. All doors close solidly, the vehicle is very safe. Stop & go driving on rough city streets is not the best terrain for this Tourer. Steep hilly residential streets (low speed) will force the transaxle into first, and the gas mileage will suffer in these situations, as gearing is under-powered. Driver's vision out the back windows is limited for short persons when backing up in store parking lots. Rear seats fold down for generous cargo room when needed. The leather interior is better than the cloth model, zone climate controls are great. Nice vehicle overall in a category all its own. Look for Certified Used model....read morehide

- Nice look, drives smoth,
- fuel economy
I recently bought the Pacifica and I am very impressed. The car is great for someone who doesnt like bulky vans or SUVs. It is almost like a luxurious station wagon. The ride is great and it has a lot of power. However, the the best mileage I have ever got with it it 17miles to a gallon.

- Fuel Economy, third row seating for adults
- engine stall, brakes, electrical problems etc....etc...
I purchased a 2005 with 2 miles on it. It went in the shop for an engine stall 3 months after I bought it and again 2 months later and again 2 months later. This car stalls out on me with no warning! No lights, nothing. Mercedes should go back to the drawing board on this one. thank goodness my lemon law paper work is in process!!...read morehide

- Good fuel economy for an SUV (18 mpg), luxurious interior, 19" chrome rims, comfortable ride
- Could use a little more power, but this really isn't an issue. It's an SUV, not a sports coupe.
I had considered vehicles such as the MDX, RX 330, Mountaineer and XC 90. The Pacifica impressed me with the level of standard equipment, the available options and the ride comfort. The Pacifica rode smoother than all the above, save the RX. But even then, it was close. I got the touring model with navigation, rear DVD, back-up sensor, power rear hatch, moonroof, dual zone climate control, satellite radio, premium surround-sound stereo, leather and 19 in. chrome rims. The exterior appearance is impressive and the interior is very luxurious. I still can't believe the smoothness of the ride and the confidence inspiring handling. I am very pleased with my purchase. I get questions and compliments all of the time. I'm not sure why the "experts" don't rate it as well as the users. This SUV has a smoother ride than the MDX, XC 90 and the Mountaineer, and more passenger space than the RX. Maybe now that Chrysler is marketing the Pacifica as an SUV instead of a "sports tourer" more people will be interested in giving it a chance....read morehide

- An S320 at a third of the cost
- Moving off from standing still is somewhat slow. No voltage read out.
Blind spot at first was annoying but after adjusting 2 outside mirrors, and seat height. Blind spot no more.
Excellent handling at all speed and inspires confidence.
Car is very quiet at all speed. Dashboard layout took a couple hours to get use to, then again this is not your average transport.
Stylish, intelligent interior design. Comfortable seating for all six.
Gas milage was better than listed: at 19 city, 25 highway....read morehide

- The 2004 comes for a cheaper price with alot more features
- Its a good SUV, beatin the SUV market
All you other pacifica owners need to chill out with your complaints. my car runs fine. just because you guys have encounterd a few problems doesnt mean the car is no good. give it some time, chrysler has only been on it for a year or so. It is way cheaper than all other SUVs in its class. The price is unbeatable. I have to admit that. Overall i have to say that it is an acceptable car and i enjoy owning it!...read morehide

- Good $ vaule, nice looking car, seats six, seats flip down
- not enough leg room, feul economy, stero OK
If you have kids this car is excellent for you. It is a good vaule. the bad things about this car is that in the front the leg room is limited for a person that is tall; also when the seats in the very back are folded down, the middle row is hard to recline. The feul economy is not as good as they advertise, I get 17 mpg around town, and about 22 mpg on the highway. If you want a roomy SUV this car may not be the right choice. I have had no major problems on my car except that the A/C makes noise when you turn it on high. Overall this car is a good reliable car!...read morehide

- Handles well. Very quiet ride. Safest vehicle I've ever owned.
- Gas Milage. Luggage room.
I owned four Chrysler/Dodge mini vans before buying my Pacifica. My Pacifica outclasses the mini
vans in every catagory except gas milage. If this vehicle got 5-8 miles more per gallon it would be
the ideal vehicle. The ride and handling of this vehicle is wonderful. Much quieter than than my
A note to potential buyers....second row seats do not recline if third row seats are stowed down. Backup sensor a must since view out rear window is limited....read morehide

- Great interior
- Same old garbage in new pack, I would go back to Japanese car after this experience
I fell for the luxurious interior it has but since we bought it, it is been to service center three times in two months for same problem. Now seem there is new problems poping up. Iy makes squeeky noice in morning. Looks like tuiing belt is problem (at only 2000 miles). Also there is rattling noice coming from some where in front.
I complained about car to Chrysler, and for sure they sent me email enlisting lemon laws. No personal call or follow up. For $30000 car I don't get any responces. Will never buy or reccommand this brand to anyone....read morehide
