- gorgeous/lots of space/handles well
- wind noise/gas consumption
Purchased As Used
i have an awd touring 06. it has 53k miles. It is perfect height for baby seat.Lots of space and very nicely styled. bad- wind noise through windows and moonroof at high speeds and devours gas like an escalade. All in all i highly recommend this vehicle. I might purchase an 08 aspen next.

- Wonderful Features
- Axle broke at 30,000 miles
I came on this website because I was driving my 05 Pacifica with my children in the car last week, when the left front axle broke. The car has around 30,000 miles on it. In my opinion, there is no excuse for this. Not only did it put my family in jeopardy, it has caused me to be afraid of this car. I will be trading it in the first chance I get, if I can get it back from the dealer, who had it for a week before the axle broke, and yet didn't fix it. When I read Tracey's account above of the axle breaking on her vehicle, it really made me pause. Beware of this car!...read morehide

- Everything. DVD, wireless headphones, mileage, nice leather.
- Third seat, not meant for grown ups. Unless your short !
We traded in our Jeep Liberty and Ford f-150 for this car. It was a smart move. 1. Less insurance. 2. By trading in two vehicals. It lowerd the car payment to under two hundred dollars per month. We still have three cars though. 1991 Honda CRX commuter car. 2005 Mercury Grand Marq. 2006 Chrysler Pacifica AWD. I liked the Chysler Pacifica the first time I saw them. My wife drives it. And she loves it. This car is loaded from top to bottom. And it takes regular gas....read morehide

- ENGINE DIED AT 31,000.00 MILES - DEALER SAYS TOO BAD!!!
The 2004 Pacifica's ENGINE DIED AT ONLY 31,000.00 MILES even though I don't drive on dirt roads. This is the first car I've ever had an engine problem with.
Chrysler is of no help and they are not backing their product or helping the consumer. Apparently the consumer doesn't matter.
The district manager declined replacing the engine under warranty claiming available maintance "records" show the oil was not changed for 9,000 miles. WE DISCUSSED THE MATTER WITH SEVERAL MECHANICS WHO SAY THIS SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED. So far I am stuck with an estimated bill of $4,400.00. An engine replacement mechanic said they could do the whole job for $3,200.00. WHY IS CHRYSLER SO MUCH HIGHER? The car is at the dealer and I'm grounded.
I will pursue all remedies.
Any advice is appreciated....read morehide

- Good Looks very affordable with end of year deals
Purchased an 06 in Jan of 07 and what a great deal. Car rides like a Mercedes and has good pick up and go. Great car for those that need Mini Van room but don't want Mini Van looks. Looked at other cross overs but with end of year discounts just to hard to pass up.

- This is a wonderful driving car. Once on the highway, it flies, but
- Fuel consumption is awful and you can't open the windows while driving without terrible wind noise..
The ride is so smooth and on a trip with the sound system and DVD it makes the mile fly by. There is not really a lot of room for luggage and six people, but fine with four people. Plus, I love the butane blue, it's a head-turner.

- Overall very good car
- nothing really
We bought our car in 2006. It has been an excellent car for our family. Our old car was Mazda MPV, which was getting old. This car is more luxurious, comfortable, about the same space, stronger engine, and I think in our minds better looking. Interestingly enough, we had a great deal and very happy with the price. We have tested the Mercedes R before we bought this car. Definitely there is a class difference, but it is not worth the price at all! Almost 2/5 of the Mercedes price. You don't need to be extra careful with this vehicle because you may tear a valuable leathery, or paint, etc.. The fuel economy could have been better, but it seems we are securing the oil fields in Iraq? (Stupid war, so many wasted innocent lives, bad president).
Overall very good comfortable car with innovative design features.....read morehide

- Inside comfort, nav system, cargo room capabilities
- Wind vibration over 50 mph when windows are cracked open; FRONT FASCIA IS PRONE TO FALLING OFF
I have loved this car up until this past summer. The fascia of this car is so low that at times it comes in contact with parking blocks or other parking barriers. In July 06 I had to replace this piece ($852) because as I was driving, it collapsed and eventually fell off. A result of bumping/rubbing of these parking blocks? Just 2 days ago (4 months after this replacement occurred) I ran over 2 small aluminum window screens that were debris in the HOV lane. Again, the fascia has fallen off and needs to be replaced. I will be driving this car without a fascia until I sell it....read morehide

- this car has been nothing but a pleasure and luxury to my family and I.
- limited vision but 2007's have camera's to back up and power was not good but they made a 4.0L engin
I lease this car and this is my third year. I have never had to take it in for anything. The ride is like a cadillac. This vehicle has very high car crash ratings according to NTSA. To get the true effect of this vehicle you should purchase the touring edition AWD, whidh has rear back park sensors, leather, dvd, navigation, bluetooth, heated seats, etc. I continually get compliments on the look and all the options. I have everything in this car and I could never go any less. This edition even has the side airbags. As far as the power the 4.0 L is in the 2007 but you have your family is this type of car why would you need more power, If you want to race you should look at some of the jeep and dodge racing vehicles. This is an excellent family vehicle. it has been dependable and a real treat to my family....read morehide

- It comes with tires-
- Almost everthing else--this is a peice of junk-better off walking!
Do you want a car that stauls?, gets poor gas mileage when it does run and is equiped with a nice sun roof that leaks when it rains. Do you want it to sit more at the dealer for repairs than in your garage. Has a smell of musk form the sun roof leak. Major electrical problems after only 1 year of ownership. Well great your in luck because Chrysler makes such a car and they named it Pacifica. I can't beleive all of the problems I have had. So here is your warning. There are too many other cars on the market to get stcuk with a car like this. It started with the battery dieing on me the very first night I drove it home and with the dealer saying that it happens becasue the car has soo many goodies installed. Yes thats what they told me. Who ever heard car in this day and age that would purposely allow the battery to die and expect that to be ok with your cutomers. They finally gave me a new battery but it sometime would act as if was on it's last charge and would barely turn on the car. Anther dealer told me that the sun roof leaks because I park it facing down hill sometimes. Where are they getting their excuses. the stauling they say is a bug that they are trying to resolve. i don't know if I just laugh or cry! I hate you Chrysler and you will never get me to buy antoher Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge or what ever other car you sell....read morehide
