2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser User Reviews
- $7,398 - $10,038
- interior room , good in the snow
- needs better milage , should have more standard options
I own a 2006 currently 45,000 , no major problems, original brakes , however replaced tires at 22, 000. plenty of room , versatile with rear seats removable. We have used the car on long trips . rides nice on the highway .

- Small size, classic good looks, decent ride for its compact size
- Turning radius is abysmal for such a small car, engine is sometimes rough at low rpm
This is one great car for the money. It is sufficiently quick with the turbo option and reasonably comfortable. It is SMALL making entry and egress somewhat difficult for larger persons. Tight steering gives it a sporty feel that the suspension is more sport like than it actually is. This is a great commuter and not bad for longer jaunts. Although the gas mileage isn't bad, one would think that it should be better considering the size of the engine. I like this car a lot....read morehide

- Decent gas mileage and ride. It's all good
- Low in the front, so must be careful on speed bumps and such
I loved my 02 PT so much that I just bought an 08. I loved the look as soon as it came out and asked people who had one how they liked theirs and everyone said that they loved it. I have two good friends who have one and they love theirs as well. It does not ride like a luxury car because it is not one.,but has lots of leg room in the front, and is quite comfortable even for long trips. I even bought the same color. Can't beat the price either. My 08 new cost less than my 02 used. I would buy another one....read morehide

- No a Mid-size car gets better gas mileage this is truly crazy.
- It does ride rough and the brakes make a lot of noise plus the turning radius is really poor.
I bought this car for my wife because she wanted it but it was a bad choice. Not a safe vehicle at all. It rides so bad you hear everything from the out side. Also the turning radius is extremely poor I get a better turning radius on my Yukon XL and that is bad. The brakes are always making noise. Then Chrysler has a bad customer service. I will never by another American made car because of the customer service and the bad performance of the two American made cars I have own in the last five years....read morehide

- more than enough cupholders
- rides rough, transmission started whining a 10 miles! sloppy handling, ugly, outdated styling
Rented a brand new one with two miles on it. Drove over 1000 miles in three days on a business meeting. Worst car I've ever drove. Seats made my back sore, knees stayed crunched into the dashboard, stereo system sounds like a see-n"-say with a busted speaker. Just plain horrible. 1000 mile trip on flat interstate roads; MPG never got over 24. Junk....read morehide

big on the outside compared to the small cramped interior . transmission ratios to the power output of the engine versuses the weight of the car is engineered entirely wrong . shame on the mechanical engineer resposible for the . more likely the engineer was correct but was overridden by a ceo that has no engineering knowlege . ( i have a mechanical engineering degree )...read morehide
