We actually dumped a Chevy Tahoe for the Town and Country. I absolutely think it is on of the smartest designs on a vehicle I have ever seen. The Sto-N-Go is genius, it feels like we have way more room than the Tahoe, granted we travel with a roof cargo carrier and rear rack attached to the hitch reciever....(What can I say, we have twin girls?) We almost went to the Suburban/Yukon XL, but am glad we didn't..Gas prices are currently $2.87, and we get 24-26 MPG HWY 18-20 in the City. Better than the gas hog Tahoe 12-14 MPG City and 15-17 HWY.
Yes, it is a van, and we told ourselves we would NEVER drive a van, but we now think we wil PROBABLY always drive a T & C.
Hope this helps,
PS. They do have some sweet options on these, for those who like the Eddie Bauer Expeditions and such. You really might be suprised....
