- Pros

- Cons

This was a Chrysler lease. We have had 10 minivans since Chrysler invented it. The only vehicle we found that met our needs as well was a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. Loved everything about the van except the tires. We love to travel and put about 16,000 miles on a vehicle each year. Great for hauling stuff with seats down. Friends had a 2008 Honda van and traded it in on a T&C Touring after going on a few trips with us. (Atlantic City-Niagara Falls-Chicago) Can not see why anyone would spend $ 5,000 to $ 10,000 more for a foreign van when the Chrysler is so good, reliable and easy to drive. Seating is high enough so when you look out the windshield you can see the road and how far things are away. Friend's Honda you could not judge distances due to the hood and long dash he also had a tendancy to run over curbs scrapping the underside. I noticed the 2010 ratings give the Chrysler 5 stars but the Dodge Caravan only 4. Don't your reviewers know they are exactly the same vehicle ? After reading the reviews on the foreign models I guess not. You people missed the better fit and finish, even lines, better suspension and the fact that it is the best selling van on the market with more repeat buyers than any other van. Honda selects a certain trim level with options and claims they sell more than Chrysler but the numbers of vans sold total tells the real story. Copying is the most sincere form of envy and they all copied Chrysler. Like Consumers Reports I guess you never met an American vehicle that you liked !! Too bad! These vans are great for families, seniors who like to travel or as a great alternative to SUV's....read morehide

- Pros
- Stowngo seating, overall comfort
- Cons
- AC needs more spunk, tranny on 3.3l V6 tends to hunt
Purchased As New
This car is our first Mopar. Bought the 08 model in Dec07 from Manhattan Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge in NYC. They are a good outfit to deal with.
We had some AC issues in the summer of 08 with 2 blown hoses. In my opinion, the AC cycles too much and does not give you the nice arctic blast that I am accustomed to from most American cars. However it does seem to keep up with the heat load, even on the hottest and most humid days.
The 3.3l pushrod V6 has decent power, but my main complaint is with the 4 speed tranny that seems to want to downshift on even moderate grades at speeds over 70 mph.
Another complaint I have is that the package I bought has steering wheel mounted audio controls by no power outside mirrors, WTF?
If you are considering this car, definitely get the Stowngo seating. The seats disapear into the floor as if by magic and you don't have to deal with any heavy lifting and storage of unused seats. Fits a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood or sheetrock flat on the floor with all the seats down.
Gas mileage in the city blows, but I knew that would probably be the case going in. Hwy mileage is in the low to mid 20's at 70-75 mph, not bad. The 20 gallon fuel tank gives you 400 mi plus cruising range, nice. Since these cars are driven by so many soccer moms around town, a hybrid version would be nice, and probably sell like hotcakes.
For do it yourselfers, the engine compartment is roomier than the previous generation and the oil filter is situated vertically in the front of the motor and very easily accessed.
Overall, I would recommend this car. I paid in the mid 20's and though it was a great value....read morehide7 out of 7 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Most comfortable overall vehicle on the market.
- Cons
- Cruise control performance not quite up to par yet, needs a computer reflash.

We've had 10 Chrysler (Dodge, Plymouth) minivans so far, this is the 11th and definitely the best overall. I've spent quite a bit of time in the last few years in driving Town cars and DeVilles plus a little time in a Mercedes S500. None of them have been as comfortable overall as even our early '90s Caravans. What I've been wanting is the low noise levels and the acceleration of a late model Deville in a minivan. Now I've got it. Plus having the better, more comfortable seats and seating position of the minivan. This one won't be as inexpensive to run as the earlier models, but I can afford far more than this, just can't find a more luxurious vehicle at any price. I would like to have self leveling air springs on at least the rear, but the coil spring rear suspension on the '08-'09 models means that I can do the conversion rather easily. Chrysler should do this for the people who don't have their own shop and the ability to do major suspension modifications correctly....read morehide

- Pros
- Lots of space, Stow-N-Gow, Dual DVD's,
- Cons
- Fuel Economy

Really like it, first minivan. Family of 4 with a boxer. Works great. Took 3000 mile trip with family and dog and was so awesome. Like the styling, road noise isn't bad (Honda is louder), Stow-N-Go allows for so much storage when seats are up. Dual DVD system has been awesome for our kids. Love the built in Hard Drive and Nav system. This vehicle has been a joy to drive. Smooth ride and road noise isn't bad. Has so many little features that make it great, i recommend it. The unlimited power train warranty is the main reason I looked at it. Very satisfied with purchase. We have the 3.8. The 4.0 has better gas milage but was only available in the limited. Touring is a great trim level, rebates are great right now. Love It!...read morehide

- Pros
- roomy, decent on gas, good riding vehicle, dvd great for kids, power third row seat is awesome
- Cons
- hopefully you buy from a reputable place to fix minor problems

The car is awesome. The kids love it and so do we. There is plenty of room for people, water bottles, wagons, etc. You name and you can probably take it with you. I got around 20 mpg on a recent four hour trip with five people in 88 degree weather with the air on at 72 the entire time! This was much better than expected.
Luckily for us, however, we bought the vehicle from Brunswick Auto Mart in th greater Cleveland area. We had issues with a pinging noise from the catalytic conv., a warped plastic skid guard on the rear bumper, and a leaking rear pass. side shock. Steve the head mechanic replaced all of the items for us quickly and properly. A few other Chrysler dealerships, one of which is closed now, gave me the run around on all three items especially the cat. converter. but not Brunswick, they were great....read morehide19 out of 20 people found this review helpful.

- Cons
- The dash buttons for the fans, AC, etc are two small, no all whell drive

This is my second T&C, both limiteds. This one is far superior to my 07. About the same price but much more content and better material. The 4.0 with the suspension upgrades that come with it is perfect. I always felt the 07 was to "floatty" . Love the second row windows that go down along with the window shades. The power rear seats are great as is the dual DVD player. Just overall a very, very nice van...read morehide
