2007 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4X4 User Reviews
- $10,743 - $12,973
- Good power for a V6
- got a popping noise up front passenger side at 25k and no Ocrap straps to get in the back doors
Purchased As Used
Got my 07 quad cab a month ago and really love it. It has a lot of room to be a mid-size. Not so sure why at 25k I am having to replace Michelin tires already. That should not be happening. So far very happy. Kind of hard to get in behind front bumper cover to mount a front license plate if using a nut and bolt verses tapping license screw....read morehide

- Power, looks, roomy.
- Ball joints gone all ready 32,000 miles in to it.
Went to get aligned and found lower ball joints gone after only 32,000 miles. This is an on going problem with these new dakotas, if I get another 30000 miles out of these OEM ball joints, I will hope MOOG will come out with greasable ones. All the manafacturers need to go back to greasable ones or make them reliable. Truck gets decent gas mileage for a V8 and has plenty of power to tow. The only other thing i dont like about the truck is the downwards rake fo the truck....read morehide

- Roomy inside, comfortable ride, well built.
- Poor gas mileage, brakes feel spongy, accelleration weak.
This is the second Dakota that I have owned. I like the mid-sized truck, not too big, not too small. I tow a 3500lb boat with no issues, and have towed several campers. I had an issue with the front brake caliper, but otherwise, no complaints. The quad cab is very roomy, I have had 5 adults in it with no complaints. The fuel mileage could be better, but I have the HO V-8, which gets @ 16-17 mpg. The 4 wheel drive is great, I always get the limited slip which makes a huge difference. I am not crazy about the 18" tires, as they are expensive to replace, and with limited choices. Overall it is a great truck and I would buy another one....read morehide

- Laramie trim = all the goodies
- MPG isnt great, but hey its a HO V8 TRUCK
Just traded my 2002 ext cab v8 SLT Dakota 4x4 for a 2007 Quad cab Laramie HO V8 4x4. I have every option except for the power moon roof and navigation. So far it getting a tad over 15 in the city. No real LD highway driving yet.
I LOVE THIS TRUCK! I drove everything (Tacoma, Sport Trac, Colorado) in the class and nothing compares to the dakota for me.
I paid 5000 less than midline tacoma (SR5). Dont get me wrong toyotas are fine I owned 2, a 89 and a 93 before going to Dakotas in 2002. If you need a fancy pickup that can easily tow a 2 horse trailer
and work for a living the Dakota is the right choice....read morehide

- No trim specified for this review
- Towing, V8 power, nicely made interior, unlike a Tacoma, 100% American made.
Dodge hit the note right on the Dakota. It is roomier than any other compact or mid sized truck I ever had. With the V-8, Towing my stuff is no hassle.
Best of all, It is American made, so I don't hurt the American economy. The tacoma, the rest of the Toyota's, and all other forgein brands on the other hand, when you buy a Toyota, You just made one american loose his or her job because the money goes to Japan, not America....read morehide

- A olittle loose and light on rough highways
Love the truck, had original steering problem which was warranty repaired. The looks are fantastic and the feel is great. Many compliments on the Patriotic blue color, the new design and lines.
Over all I think the truck is a great buy but as always I wish the prices were lower.
