- the mega cab is nice.
- emisions bad, towed in less than 4000 miles 3 new systems since june
Would not buy another one. Can not idle in cold weather it stops up the emisions. I work on the pipeline in Wisconsin and need to be able to get in and get warm, the engineers are not thinking of the work these trucks are bought for. God forbid I get caught out in a snow storm and have to keep the truck running for heat. it won't do it. Chevrolet is looking good right now....read morehide

- Power, roomy, and quiet motor are just a few of the many up-grades over my 2002 dodge sport.
- Ride still does not compete with Chevy or Ford sorry to say.Why mud flaps are not a standard item?
Most dealers loose out by not having a few loaded mega Laramie's on their lots for the guy looking for the higher end rig with a price which will surly beat out the competition. In turn they buy a Chevy or Ford which in most cases is the higher end truck which is available in the area and will be easier for future maintainance and up-keep. Sure you can order one the way you want it which I did on my 2002 sport and still the dealer missed a few options I requested and i did without. Give the consumer an option on the lot....color is not all we are looking for...............read morehide

- Awesome diesel! The best engine of any truck with unbelievable towing power.
- Seat comfort. No long bed on megacab
The Cummins is absolutely bulletproof. It is easily the best, longest lasting diesel on the market. Ford had to install 2 turbos on the Powerstroke just to keep up with the Cummins. Horsepower doesn't mean anything if the torque isn't there. Other truck companies claim a towing capacity of 23-24,000 lbs.?! The second gen Dodge Cummins are used all the time at a helicopter company I worked for, and the were towing 26,ooo+ regularly. They would never use Powerstrokes. Some of you may think I'm a die-hard Dodge guy; the answer is no! If Cummins was bought out by Chevy or Ford, or someone else, I would buy from them. A trucks a truck, there all the same. But if you want the best diesel available, look no further than Cummins. GMC/Chevy Duramax diesels would be my second choice *S*...read morehide

- good fuel economy, very roomy, great ride, plenty of power
- no cons found
I love this truck, I test drove all other competive brands, none could match the comfort and reliability and the overall looks of the megacab!

- good engine
- Bad takoff without the optonial power takoff
The Dodge Ram 3500 Lamirane is a very good truck. It covers all the important needs a farmer or a cowboy would want. The 6.7 L Cummins turbo diesel produces 350 HP. Man, I wish I had one of those! It's so staggering that I have a hard time thinking that there is anything wrong with it. I suppose it has a slower pickup because it's a diesel, but I think there is an option called power takeoff which speeds it up on takeoff. Other than that,I think it's the best truck in the world!!...read morehide

- No turbo lag. Quiet. Decent 4X4 MPG at 12mpg.
- Can't think of any.
I traded my 2006 SuperDuty F250 4X4, which had a big turbo lag. It was fast and was really comfortable & good-looking. Unfortunately, it was in the shop 14 times in the 1st 14 mo. Replaced turbo, downpipe, entire exhaust system, and all seals in the trans & motor (both had to come out of the truck on separate trips. The dealer made 5 attempts to solve an oil leak and it was still leaking, so I sold it. I'm hoping the Dodge won't be the lemon that my F250 was. Incidentally, I bought a new F350 in 1992, put 100K miles on it and liked it, but it broke a lot also. I think I'm done with the Fords....read morehide

- Great styling lots of power, no diesel turbo lag, lots of room and storage.
- Hunts to much for best gear in tow/haul.
One teriffic truck it will haul anything I put on it, the drive train is bullet prof. The only week point is the interior styling, I have the Larimie parkage thats nice but GM & Ford are far ahead in luxury stying and appointments

- Just simply a nice truck
- Dodge needs to wk a bit on the comfort seat concept.
Super truck. 6.7 Cummins is a joy to drive. Tons of power, tracks nicely down the road, seats a bit firm "Mega" is an accurate term though not found in websters dictionary which makes it kinda cool. I love to shift and manual is smooth for a one ton truck. Don't expect to buy a one ton truck and have it drive like a bently. This dodge rides like a very refined working pickup. My truck has most all the options except NAV and they (the options) are intuitive and nice to have (seat rest dvd, leather, SAT radio, [power boards after market] Bluetooth feature is great easy to set up and works perfectly for hands on the wheel conversations. Infinity sound system 6 cd stacker awsome and MP3 capable. Added Chrome trims on black truck,....ooooo nice. Mega cab is a short bed and those with fifth wheel desires be sure to check into the slider hitches to protect that cab. Very quiet ride, wife stated on the way home "are you sure this is a diesel?" I am 6'3 220lbs and sitting in the back of anyones pickup is no good. The mega cab felt like a first class seating (minus the cushion) aboard a jetliner. ie. tons of legroom. I could put my leg on my knee and still not touch the seats in front of me. Reclining seatback a huge plus. Buy one,...read morehide

- Can't think of any !
- Too many too list!
I really thought this truck would be awesome . After the test drive I went back to the dealer and signed papers on it . After I had it for a few weeks, the brakes just fell apart. Took it to the dealer and they had no problem making the repairs, a few hours later I was back on the road with once again , I nice firm pedal .
The power isn't really there like I thought it would be . I also have a 07 Silverado with just a 4.8 (with a tune job and few other addons) and I swear , the Silverado feels like it has more power . It's diffinately a faster vehicle , thought thats not what I bought this truck for .
The cost factor to own this truck is just nuts . I wish I had just bought a new dualy Chevy as this truck just does not perform at all . If you are thinking about buying one , don't ! It's not worth the money . Save your cash and get a Chevy . Much better vehicle ....read morehide
