- Stylish, Powerful, Fun to drive, Loaded with great options
- Poor visibility out the rear window
I was skeptical about the new Avenger because the April, 2008 Consumer Reports magazine on the best/worst cars of 2008 absolutely trashed this car. Based on nothing more than the fact that I loved the exterior design of the Avenger R/T, I scheduled a test drive of one. Now I'm not sure how the reviewers of Consumer Reports came to their conclusions, but I couldn't disagree more.
The Avenger R/T is a blast to drive. It's a great way to compensate between good gas mileage and the ability to get up and move when you want it to. And don't even get me started on all the different options it comes with. I opted out of the dvd player and navigation equipment, and it's still loaded with neat features. It looks and drives like a sports car, but the inside makes you feel like it's a luxury car. Leather seats, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, power sun roof, 6-disc changer, Sirius satellite radio, EXCELLENT sound with the Boston speakers, power windows and locks, remote start, heated/cooled beverage holder, and the list goes on and on.
I can't say enough about my Avenger - I just wish it would stop raining outside so I could get out and enjoy driving it!
