- good handling, nice size - more space than you'd think
- the CVT - variable transition is horrible!!
Gas mileage isn't what was expected but the transmission is the worst. Either I have a lemon or the CVT was not a good production idea.
I trade about every 2 years is this is the first vehicle that truly did not meet my expectations shortly after purchase. I test drove one for a few days and then ordered one. Mine definitely isn't like the test one and the dealer doesn't believe me.

- The radio, Uconnect blue tooth.
- acceleration, sliding arm rest
LOVE my car. I LOVE the color too, bright yellow and black. I like the idea that if im in a pinch and need the acceleration (ca. Highway) It has the option to go from Auto to manual transmition. If you have the option the Uconnect bluetooth is a must! The all wheel drive took me a while to get use to also. The sirius radio/mp3/tape deck very nice....read morehide

- Sharp, sporty looking with great gas mileage. One of the best car stereos i have owned.
- Seats are rigid and headrest awkward.
Traded a dodge ram so the gas mileage is not even comparable. The car is smaller inside than it appears BUT great to drive, handles well and i find the pickup to be adequate. Great car but for long distances I would definitely use the bigger, more comfy vehicle we own. The seats and headrest leave a lot to be desired....read morehide

- Sporty, back seats recline, radio, AWD
- MPG not what expected on hiway, engine noise, arm rests are to rough
So far not a problem at 5,000 miles, comfort around driver legs should be better, it's a dog when it comes to any performance, you get what you pay for

- Appearance, room, radio/speakers, versatility
- Major blind spots, interior noise
I've had my Caliber for over a year now and for the most part I like it a lot. It definitely turned heads in the beginning as there were so few of them people didn't know what it was. It is a very nicely designed car and for the money, a pretty good value.
There is a lot of plastic in the interior but for 20K, I can live with that. The blind spots though are major and you have to be VERY careful when changing lanes or merging to make sure no one is in the blind spot.
My major complaint is with the interior noise. The road noise is bad and maybe that's because it is an AWD but I'm glad the stereo is so awesome cause that's what I use to drown out road noise!
I have the higher-end stereo and was a bit disappointed to see that only the lower model stereo has the mp3 jack. That was a bit of a bummer...
Overall though it is a great car and I am quite happy with it....read morehide

- poor acceleration.
I love the style and security. Red seat insets are cool. Needs more pep in the engine.

- Great looking car, performance of the motor good, love the tranny.
- my 30g Ipod player does fit in holder, front seats not comfortable too narrow
Just purchase it on the 16th march 07 and Love, Love, Love this car, I got the sunroof, love it, the drivers convience pak, love it. Turns a lot of heads, white with chrome rims and on 19th the windows are getting tinted, can't wait. A great feeling of security when driving it on the snowy mountain roads. The day after I bought it we had a snow storm and I live in the Laurentien mountains in Quebec. No problems getting up my road before the snowplow came with 7 inches of snow, with my PT Cruiser with Ultra Grip tires on, I had to park it at the bottom of my street, walk up and wait for the snowplow. NOT WITH MY -45 Caliber- my nickname for her. GREAT CAR, FUN TO DRIVE, JUST LOVE IT SO FAR. The only big complain is the front seats are too narrow for my wide hip bone structure(my wieght is only 152lbs), I had to buy an Obus Forme seat to make it more comfortable for driving, which the dealer reimbursed me for! The real test is my shopping day at Cosco, to test storage! As for the gas milage, haven't driven it far enough yet, will post again in 2 weeks for the full opinion. I couldn't wait to let you all know what a great car this is so far....read morehide

- Sick wheels, wicked stereo, RT rips it up
- to much plastic used in car, gas milage is average.
I just got the CAlibre RT, wicked ride,is quite a capable ride on the highway, and the stereo thumps. The RT is a good buy for anyone considering a small car for daily use.
