2006 Dodge Caravan SWB User Reviews
- too many machincial problems
I am a first time owner who is unstatisfied with this vehicle. It is very cheap and its interior is falling apart. It constantly has mechanical problems that make it unreliable.

- Excellent ride, grea value
- No map holders in front doors (very minor!!)
When you think about the price you pay for this van, compared to say, a Honda, the Caravan is far superior. I don't care much for the power windows, however, and the front doors could've used map holders, but otherwise it's a solid ride. The DVD system is awesome and the sound is superior. Compared, at a 2006 Autoshow, to a Mazda MPV, the interior room is enormous. I love the exterior look as it looks beefier than most vans out there. Fuel economy is great, handling tight, and it's got everything you need. I read somewhere the Honda Oddysey has 17 cupholders. WHY? The Caravan has 6. And although it technically has room for 7 people, the 3 in the back better be close friends or small in stature as 6 is really the max. The features like headlight delay off and flashing indicators when the sliding doors open are great as kids tend to bolt out into the parking lot when the van is stopped. The lack of ABS is overrated. Just think of it as 1 less thing to go wrong with your ride. Much like the power windows....read morehide

- comfortable seating, good fuel economy, smooth riding, easy to get in and out of
- radiator over heated at 1000 miles,
I love my caravan. This is the second one I have owned and I drove the first one for nine years. No major mechanial problems. Hope this one is as good as the first one. I had kids before and now grandkids great for them. I used my first one to move with several times and loaned it out to let other people move. You can move more in the back than a truck and it doesn't blow away or get wet....read morehide

- excellent fuel economy on Hwy, low interior road noise
- none found
We keep a car 2 years, after comparisons with other vans this was by far the best value in the market for our family needs. So far so good.

- Excellent drive really really smooth. Good in the snow with FWD.
- Doesn't have front defroster like some vans.
Got it brand new. It is a really sweet smooth drive. I love it. Good in the snow with FWD. It has back defroster but no front but the smooth ride totally makes up for it.
