2007 Dodge Caravan SWB User Reviews

- Good fuel economy for the size . Comfortable seats, seems very sold going over bumps
- Could use a little more front seat legroom . Front legroom is the same in both SWB and LWB versions
Seems more solid than our 2004 T&C . Took it on a long trip and consistently got 25 mpg on the road at 70-75 mph. Solid ride over bumps . Missing some of the bells and whistles of previous years like lighted door switch, headlight switch, power mirror switch . No underhood light, no glovebox light , only 1 light on the hatch instead of 2 . Do like the fact that it came with a full size spare tire instead of those useless donut tires they use. Also nice looking alloy wheels though it remains to be seen how these will hold up in this high salt area that we live in . Bad brake dust continues to be a problem on all chrysler vehicles . Good rebates on them now as they are trying to get rid of them so they can sell there totally revamped 2008 model which I am not fond of . Also was able to get extended powertrain warranty from the dealer for free , told him i would not buy otherwise. Where else can you get a vehicle of this size for a little over $18000?...read morehide

- Good rebates easy to negotiate a good price.
- Quality, reliability, dealing with Dodge Corporate, dealerships.
Second Dodge van, first one was good for about 20k then the van felt like it was 10 yrs old, ride quality was shot, steering problems that Dodge fixed but it was right back after 10k. The second one had it in for transmission twice before 35k, computer went out ($600.00) after 40k. Traded it on a Toyota and have been happy since. I have been told by two Chrysler mechanics that Chyrsler products are hopeless and that the dealerships are just trying to steer you away because there is nothing they can do. Good example the steering gear problem started in 96 and still exists today. And they wonder why they are losing money????...read morehide

- stow n go seats, comfort
- fuel economy and poor brakes
In answer to the previous review, I'm 6'4" and when I rent a vehicle I would always choose this van for its comfort. With the power adjustments on the sxt its easy to find a comfortable position. If you don't have these adjustments as on the base model then I would agree that it could be a very uncomfortable experience. I even insisted they swap the vehicle one time when the rental company tried to give me a base model. But get the sxt with the power adjustments and enjoy the ride....read morehide

the roof of the van
Group with electric door is a most when you have children
