- Pros
- It's very fast
- Cons
- It's a heavy car

Very fast and comfortable. It is a very heavy car compared to its competitors. The hemi is mundane compared to what it can very easily be with a few modifications.Definately a detuned engine that can really easily be turned into a street terror.Definately the best motor out of its (unsaid) competitors, the sky is the limit with this 392.As with any chrysler hemi, the factory hasn't even scratched the surface with factory release, but always leave room for improvement so people can know who the real king is when/if the time comes....read morehide

- Pros
- Great ride, interior room, best pony car looks
- Cons
- Slightly underpowered

I bought my 2012 Challenger about 1 months ago and have already put 3k on it. It's a pleasure to drive, and turns more heads than a modern Shelby Mustang. The v6 with 305hp is plenty however, to keep the fuel economy competitive with a 5 speed automatic, they put a very weak 2.85 rear end gear. To the person below who noted two different MPG's on two different SXT's, It's probably because one had a 2.85 rear end and the other had the upgraded 3.06 which I have and HIGHLY recommend to anyone purchasing a v6. You will lose out in mileage slightly but the bump in get up and go makes that fade away. All in all, if you want a pony with some style, or if you want a pony and you're over 6', this is the best choice. I drove mustangs, camaros, genesis coupes, and though most have slightly better handling and acceleration, none give you the comfort, ride, or style that the Challenger does....read morehide

Love this car. The look and feel are great. It brings back the feeling of yesterday with modern technologies. Recommend highly, but also glad there are not many on the road. I like being a rare breed.

I do dealer trades. I drove two the other day a combined 300 miles. They were both V6's, one got 27 on the highway, the other got 29. (tire size?) Both very comfortable, both very quiet, both had a smooth ride and handled very well. I loved them and am considering buying one. No mustangs or Camaro's for me. Have driven both, no comparason. Now the Shelby GT500 Cobra 6 speed is a blast to drive, at a drag strip, but who wants to drive that every day......read morehide

- Pros
- Great looks. And supprisingly good mileage.
- Cons
- Rear blind spot
Purchased As New
The day I drove it home it averaged 33.4 mpg on the hwy. Gets 24 driving around town. Not too bad at all. And it looks awsome doing it too. The sport button is a blast for getting on the hwy. The leather is soft and comfortable. No regrets at all.

Bought the 2012 Challenger SRT8 about a week ago. Went into the dealership to purchase a luxury SUV and came out with the Challenger (stick shift). Looks hot. Drives tight. Incredibly fast. Smooth ride.

My wife and I took this car around N. California on our honeymoon March 2012. I drove 844 miles over 7 days, never drove any muscle cars before. Overall, this was an awesome car and I was very impressed. I've never driven ANY car as comfortable as this one. The seats are large and supportive, plenty of space with surprising space in the trunk and backseats.
The ride was smooth and refined, engine performed better than expected. If you've ever been thru N. California, the roads can be pretty severe at times and this thing handled the curves and elevation like a champ. Power was always available. There's a cool feature where you can record your best 0-60 times, I had a time of 5.95 in the rain. Tires are underwhelming.
Interior is very handsome, I especially liked the look and feel of the steering wheel. There is no "button-overload."
I really only had two complaints. (I don't think mileage is a legitimate complaint when discussing a V8 muscle car so I'll avoid that.)
Visibility was frustrating. There's a silly little window for the backseats, but the massive headrest covers the passenger rear window. I've heard the Camaro is even worse, and I'd hate to deal with that. I just had to engage the turn signal early, watch closely, and change lanes slowly...but sometimes in heavy traffic you ultimately have to pray there's nothing in the blindspot. One time an entire minivan was hiding in my blindspot.
The other thing that irritated me was the confusing tech Dodge focused on. First, I still don't understand the keyless "Enter-and-go" concept. There are no keyholes but there is a button on the doorhandle. Think it senses the "key"chain and you can lock/unlock the doors with this button. I never got this button to be work reliably. Once inside, there's a push-button ignition. Something is lost in not turning something to start your hemi V-8.
Secondly, the lights are overly complicated. Either make them auto or manual, don't give me both options and then make the decision for me anyway.
Lastly, if you want to shift gears, get the manual. The knob shifter was stupid and I only touched it once. The paddle shifters are more novel but the car's going to shift when it wants regardless (once again, the car wants to think for you.) I quickly treated it as a straight auto and of course it was still extremely fun to drive....read morehide2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Roomy, 25 combined mpg, turns heads, very quick and lots of power.
- Cons
- Air bag needed changing twice in the first 2000 miles, thats it really.

The car is beautiful, everyone seems to love when i drive by, it's really roomy for a coupe and has great power for a v6. this is a true muscle car, the only complaint is I had to take it in for service in the first 2000 miles for a fault in the air bag sensor, they had to replace it twice in one month, so far the problem hasn't come back. Other then that the car is perfect, I look forward to driving it every single day. My first car that I bought and its my dream car....read morehide

- Pros
- Great looks, great fuel economy, and great handling

This car has literally changed my life. It is so smooth and responsive, almost drives itself. With the header orange paint on the exterior, there have been a few folks now wearing neck braces to check it out. The dash and controls are very easy to read and the way everything is set up, you never have to take your eyes off the road....read morehide
