- Fast, reliable, good fuel economy
- brakes are already squeaking, visibility out the back window
I drive this vehicle as my police cruiser. It is very fast, and reliable, and I get pretty good gas mileage. It looks very nice, and for the price, I would love to have one for my personal use.

- Hot looking, zippy, roomy. Awesome for families! I'm SO happy with this car!
- Poor visibility of rear-side area, needs better interior, no door guards.
My husband is 6'3 and 260lbs; I'm WAY smaller, but we both still fit PERFECTLY in my beautiful car! The seats "hug" in all the right way, there's good leg room and knee clearance for his long legs. Dodge should have tossed-away all the baloney about targeting guys and pushed it as THE PERFECT FLASHY FAMILY CAR for the mom that wants to impress. It's got trunk room for days, breathing room for everyone, and I'm blown-away by how many people actually give my modest vehicle the "look" as they go by. I had the chance to buy a "luxury" car for twice or more as much, but am so much happier with this sporty looking thing...and it saved me a bundle!
The only reservations I have about it are that it could have had better options for the interior; the plain blackish plastic shows every little scratch or scuff. Additionally, it could just be that I'm so short, but I have a little bit of difficulty seeing cars in my rear side area (like before changing lanes). Who knows, perhaps taller folk don't have the problem. Oh, and one last thing: door bumpers/ding guards. My 2007 SE doesn't seem to come with them, so we had to get them afterwards because my husband was worried about door dings. They were only $150, so I wonder why it didn't come stock?...read morehide

- You can choose a V6 3.5 250 HP to best perfomance and fuel economy
- When push the gas pedal the car have sligth delay to response
I like the home link in the SE Version, the back wing for best appearence , and the audio controls in the steering wheel.
The V6 3.5 L High Output is awsome, great HP, you can feel the power, the Autostick is very inteligent because if you pass the 6000 RPM automatic change to the anoter speed (don't have the red zone in the tachometer),Tha brakes have a very fast response, with the ABS, and EPS (electronis program stability) Is very comfortable front and rear to people of 1.9 meters
I take some test drives with G6 GTP, Mustang GT, Camry, Civic Si, and Charger 2.7 and 3.5 and I choose the Charger SE 07 V6 3.5 with 18 in wheels, protection system (airbags from everybody in the car, autoseal tires), Leather seats, color Inferno Red.
This car is special for fathers, that like the muscle cars and have a 2 or 3 childrens because have a 5 stars in crash testing front and rear seatings...read morehide

- Good mpg, big and roomy, handles well
- Anemic base 2.7L V6, jerky auto trans, rubbermaid interior
We had a 2006 Charger SE as a rental in Hawaii in December. Car looks great, seems solidly built and handles well. Around town its fine and has tonnes of room both up front and back. I know that the SE is a good value to, just beware......
The base SE 2.7L V6 is fine for a Sebring but its like putting a lawnmower engine in a pickup truck, simply not up to the task. Like I said, around town it was fine but once you have to pass someone or go up a hill, watch out, plan ahead and get ready to NOT be able to pass! Most noteable was our trip over the Saddle Road on the Big Island of Hawaii, it goes up to about 7,000 feet and as we climed up gradually it became more and more obvious that I was not going to be able to even maintain 40mph, then 35mph as the transmission furiously shifts between 2nd and 3rd to try and keep the car going. Obviously the 3.5L V6 is the way to go, it still gets good mileage and I believe it was meant for a car this size.
The other really noticable thing about this car was the extremely low quality of the plastic interior on the SE model. Once you move up to the SXT you get better quality but with the SE you get the Rubbermaid treatment which is really quite cheap looking and feeling. Our car had 20K miles on it and the plastic interior trim was very scratched up, easy to do when it is so soft and cheap.
I would love to have the opportunity to drive a Charger with the hemi 5.7L V8 because it seems that people LOVE them. Just stay away from the SE and 2.7L V6, you will be glad you did....read morehide

- Gorgeous appearance, sleek lines, good power
I do not personally own this car (I wish though), but a friend of mine does. I make him drive me around in it whenever possible and the handling is amazing. He can drive as crazy as he wants and this thing will never lose control for a second. The power it has is awesome. It looks amazing and always gets a lot of attention. Love it!...read morehide

- Styling, RWD, comfort, cargo, ride, handling, highway driving.
- Auto stick, sluggish low end, duals would have been nice
Love it. This is a great highway car and the 8-way adjustable power driver's seat will almost guarantee feeling in your lower extremities after a long trip. The traction control works very well...especially in the snow with snow tires mounted. You cannot make the thing fishtail in the snow with the traction control engaged (we can disengage it in Canada for those really messy hills). There is nice power in the 3.5L but low-end gearing seems a little sluggish. High revving on the highway when you punch it and good response when already moving. Top end is governed at 185 kph (115 mph) but it pulls strongly all the way up. Its quick enough for practical use. The brakes work well but I hear there is already recall on the ABS computer on the 07s. (That didnt take long) Suspension is nice and car handles well. The seats need a little more lateral support because the car corners very well but you cant change the physics being applied to your derrire. You can lay a decent strip of expensive rubber from a dead stop if so inclined...and I am. Surprisingly easy to parallel park this relatively large car thanks to the power steering. I'm still undecided about the level of power steering assist at highway speed but road feel seems adequate for a sedan. Maybe a variable assist system would have been a good idea? Interior is not lavish but feels good and is very functional. I like the deep-seated gauges. I personally like the minimalist approach and you feel protected by the high beltline. Visibility takes some getting used too but is much better than the Magnum.
The Auto Stick does not respond quickly enough and you know a computer is always overseeing it. You do not feel that you have proper control of the gears when accelerating but its useful for engine braking. A manual tranny would be nice for more enthusiastic driving. There is plenty of cargo room and the car looks good from all angles. I love getting behind the wheel and being propelled via RWD. All is right in the universe. Wish it had duals coming out the rear because there is a cutout in the rear bumper for an extra one but at least the single stovepipe poking out looks all business thanks to its large diameter. That's only a minor complaint and all in all, I'm very happy with this Charger. Test one!...read morehide

- Big time trunk space, plenty of room for passengers, STYLE!!!
- There isn't one thing I don't like about this car.
I bought a 2007 in August, and may I say, it's been great. My last car was an Intrepid and was pretty spacious. This car has a lot more space than that one. I am 6'4", so I need leg and head room. I have the SE version with the 3.5L engine as opposed to the 2.7L that it also comes in. I recommend the jump up in engine size, only because this is a pretty good size car for a 2.7L to be pushing. The car also comes with an anti-skid package that is going to be useful in the snow in Chicago for this REAR wheel drive car. The battery is in the truck near the spare. It also has a jump station from under the hood. So you can jump the car from the front or the back. Alot of standard features come on this vehicle that might not of 2 years ago. All in all, this was the first BRAND new car I have purchased. I hit the jackpot. I will probably store this car after I pay it off and buy another if they are still making them....read morehide
