2008 Dodge Charger User Reviews

- great power for sedan, room, options, comfort, very easy and enjoyable to drive
- four doors, sedan, weight
I recently acquired a ford mustang v-6. Although the mustang is a ok car, it had many faults; Seemingly always having " squeaky breaks to random noises", and riding completely rough. This car is highly impractical and almost un-drivable in the winter. Now when picking a new more powerful car i had choices. Having the choice to go with a mustang gt or dodge charger r/t, i decided to do my homework. After taking both choices into consideration, "and taking a ride and measuring the power", the choice became obvious. The dodge charger kills the mustang by a long shot. A far superior ride and trim along with power completely outweighed the .1-.5 second 0-60 advantage the mustang had and changed my opinion. This car is superior for its price range, and a best buy in its, " and in the mustangs case" other classes....read morehide

- GPS navigation, sound system, POWER-POWER-POWER I feel 20 years younger when I drive this car!
This is the best car I have ever owned. It is a cross of a sports car and a family sedan. Great job Dodge for putting a real American car back on the road.

- Smooth ride, great looking, grips road well with not much of a body roll.
- Plastic covers for rims
If your serious about this car there are a few things to consider. First its a large car and my wife says she a little nervous to drive it because of the blind spot. The weight of the car takes a little effort to slow it down if your use to normal pressure on the brake petal of a smaller car. The brakes are actually really good just have to apply them a little firmer. It handles excellent for a large car. The car only has 800 mile on it but so far highway with some city driving I averaged 21 miles per gallon. Keep in mind that is doing the speed limit and not taking off fast. My wife did drive the car on the highway and didn't bother to set the cruise control luckily there were no cops she was doing 90 in a 70 mph speed zone so if you don't want speeding tickets use the cruise control. The car is a very smooth ride and can merge into highway traffic with ease. Pictures don't say enough for this car you really need to see it in person. The 2008 interior looks great and the exterior in black really stands out when in the sun the gold specks really sparkle. Overall I am very happy with the car and wouldn't change that much on it. Its a very luxury car and a great ride so if you don't want a mortage payment for a car but want style, smooth ride, performance, then this car might be for you....read morehide

- power, fuel economy, roomy, smoooooth ride
- where are the cupholders?
I LOVE MY CAR! I have owned this car for almost 2 years, and I still love it. I would not trade it for any other new car on the market. I travel a lot and have driven every other car out there, and I cannot find ONE that compares to my car. We have taken the family on long trips, and the kids haven't even found one thing to complain about. If you knew my kids you would really be impressed. I will drive this car untill the wheels fall off!!!! But please, Dodge, put some cupholders in the backseat....read morehide

- Awesome ride. My first hemi is so much fun to drive! Front & back seats are comfortable.
- Watch out for the larger than normal blind spot. Takes some getting used to.
Plenty of power, lots of room, great looking car. Mine is black with dark tinted windows. I hear the comment every week "I want one of those" or "that's going to be my next car" from all ages of people. Average gas mileage.

- Great looking car in red, exactly what I wanted.
- None noted.
Moves out well, it is an eye catcher. In the drivers seat you really do not think it is a 4 door family car. While only a V6 it was super on a road trip up the coast. I could see MOPAR greatness in this one.

- Outstanding acceleration, Excellent handling, Great stereo, Killer looks
- Spongy brake pedal, needs more aggressive CPU, gaz guzzler tax
It's 1970 all over again!! For the price, there's no sports sedan in production that can touch it. Performance and looks are top notch. The 97-02 modified chassis from the Mercedes Benz E-Class gives this car world class handling. Don't believe me? Then take advantage of the SRT Track experience that comes free when you purchase an SRT model. Believe me, you'll be even more impressed than you were the day you bought the car. Other notables are the interior room. I'm 6'6", and I can stretch my legs out in the driver seat. The only real con is the less than aggressive computer stock computer programming. Sometimes the car is hesitant off the line, almost as if it hiccups and then goes. This is easily remedied with a Diablosport programmer. Use that coupled with a 180 degree thermostat and a cold air induction, and you'll never want to stop driving your car! You'll be begging for pole position at red lights. Just be careful!...read morehide

FIRST NEW CAR IN 11 YEARS; FIRST MUSCLE CAR EVER. AFTER TEST-DRIVING HEMI, WAS A DONE DEAL. LOVE THE HEMI POWER, AND "FUEL-SAVER" MODE--DOWN TO FOUR CYLINDERS AT SPEED. I THINK I'LL REMOVE THE HEMI "BADGES" ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT OF DOORS, TO DISGUISE WHEN IT'S TIME TO GIT...
ONLY (OTHER) CONS: TRUNK LID NOT SPRING ASSISTED, MUST LIFT PNEUMATIC BY HAND; LEATHER SEAT DOES NOT FEEL "WRAP-AROUND"; "CHROME-CLAD" ALLOY WHEELS HAVE PLASTIC (GASP!!!) INSERTS!?!?--UNLIKE MANY I'VE SEEN THAT ARE TRUE CHROMED ALLOY.

- Great Handling and ride; probably the best looking mass produced car on the road!
- Nothing thus far!
I purchased my 2008 SXT about 6 weeks ago and have nothing but praise for the vehicle. I went out to purchase a Cadillac, test drove two (the CTS and STS) and, while thinking over my options, stopped by a nearby Chrysler/Dodge dealer. One test drive in the Charger and I signed the papers - great size, comfort, interior and trunk space; incredible handling and power for a V6; and, in my opinion, it is the best looking "regular" car on the road with an amazing paint finish! To date I love everything about my Charger, and get compliment everywhere I go (almost everyone praises the Torred color)....read morehide
