Purchased As New
I never considered a Charger before till I saw this beauty on the show room floor. The new side cut outs, the new aggesive hood design and the revamped tail that includes LEDs all the way across make this car very distinctive. The new interior incorporates every available new technology to create a very comfortable driver cockpit. Lots of room and extremely comfortable while providing a smooth and quite ride. Everything feature is ergonomically designed for ease of use. I test drove every type car from the new Cadillac Coupe (which is cramped, awkward and underpowered) to the Hyundai Genisis Coupe (which is extremely fast but sacrifices driver comfort) and was checking out the Dodge Challenger when I saw the 2011 Charger R/T. With the newly designed body trim, I didn't even realize it was a Charger. It is probably the most comfortable car I have ever driven. The Hemi engine gives it punch but its just too big of a car to jump off the line. Likewise for handling tight corners...the first time I took a 90 curve pretty fast....my heart was thumping....but I powered through the curve without drifting into the other lane. I have since learned how to better handle that much weight and power to more effectively control this beast. This car's power really becomes apparent at faster speeds. You can jump from 50 to 120mph in the blink of an eye. This is where the car seems to be the most agile and comfortable...no road noise...just smooth, quiet and with precise handling and control. And like any big engine, if you ask for power....you pay for it in fuel economy. If you take it lightly...the mpg jumps up quickly. But really, if you buy a Hemi, whose going to not take advantage of it? Its also very nice to have 4 doors so people can actually use the back seat without having to be a contortionist to get back there. Overall, quite an outstanding vehicle...my favorite auto purchase to date (I have bought 7 cars in my lifetime, all new).
