- Pros
- VERY FUN TO DRIVE! Impressive looks, power, comfort and technology for the price.
- Cons
- 1.4L Turbo runs well with regular gas but clearly better with mid-grade or premium.

I've only had it a week and working thru the break-in period so obviously things can change. At same time I'm really impressed because the new Dart feels similar to some of my buddies 70's and 80's muscle cars (Challenger, Charger, Comaro, Mustang, 280z, Supra) that I rode in a lot but never owned. This car is by no means in the same class, but rides similar in that it feels like a heavy / solid car with pretty good tork to move it. The Dart 6 speed auto transmission also gives it very good gas mileage and sure this car would get more than 30 mpg on a trip. Still have fond memories or the 1972 6cl Dart but this one has much more "muscle"....read morehide

I love this car so much. It makes me so excited to drive everywhere. Ive had it for 6 days and the cruise control. Only works in the morning for some reason and today my screen didnt come on. Definitely #$%$ off that I spent 27k and after 6 days I have to take it to the dealership.

Bought the Rallye/SXT in mid-October. I enjoy riding it around and love the features on the car. First 2 months was very fun, but Check engine light went on on the 3rd month since I purchased. I took it in the shop to get it check. turns out to be problems with the coolant, which I think it shouldn't be any coz it's brand new. So i got it back for a month or so, it ran fine untill 2 weeks ago the check engine light went on again, so i took it in to get it look at again. they couldn't find anything wrong with it (maybe the engineers suck). so they gave me some #$%$ reasoning on why the check engine light went on. i got it back for exactly 2 days, there we go with the light again. i took it in, they couldn't detect any errors on my car. left there overnight went to pick up the following day. the light went on 3 minutes after i pulled off the lot. I was #$%$ for bad service and poor reliability after i found out it was the thermostat that was the problem due to my request of more professional engineer. now it's still in the shop. so i got the car for 5 months and I had to get it fix for 4 times. 2 bad parts came in a brand new car...which giving me a very good reason to lose all the confidence with the Dart. I can pretty much see that I'll have a lot of troubles with this car in the future....read morehide

- Pros
- An attractive car. Great mpg with sport car feel. Lots of features available for the price.
- Cons
- The car is in the shop in less then a week... but other then that a great car.

I purchased the 2013 Dodge Dart SXT Rallye 1.4L turbo. The first 4 or 5 days of owning the car was awesome. The car looks stylish and cool, it ran really good, a little bit of turbo lag but pretty quick little car. All the little features were nice and pretty comfortable to drive, not bad for tall people (I’m 6'1 and have no problem). Until when it had just over 200 miles the check engine light and the traction control light came on when I started the car and idled rough. So I drove it to the shop and they took it in and said it had a cylinder 2 misfire. So they cleared the computer and it ran normal, so I got it back later that day. Then the next day it happened again, but much worse it idled and ran rough and was unable to drive it because the check engine light was flashing and ran awful. So I had it towed back to the shop about an hour away and lost a day of work. Since then the car has been in the shop for 4 days and has had 100 miles in test driving and they cannot find the problem. So my brand new car has over 300 miles and has been in the shop 2 times and I cannot drive it. The dealers shop has been very nice and treated me well but still I can’t drive my car. So maybe lemon law in my future? Who knows. So overall cool car, bad reliability....read morehide

- Pros
- good fuel and drives well in the snow
- Cons
- those seats are killers
Purchased As New
I rented one of these for about 3 months and it really messed up my hip. The way the seat is designed is like a torture chamber seat. It took me about 3 weeks to heal from the pain in my hip. They need to redesign them.

- Pros
- Fun to drive; excellent gas mileage
- Cons
- none to date

Purchased in late August and have had no problems. It is fun to drive. I especially enjoy the "bells and whistles" that enhance safety and are easily accessible. I am most impressed with the pick up when I need to pass or get out of someone's way.

- Pros
- Amazing Quality, incredible interior, Italian Flare, Efficiency/Performance Balance, Tech, Exhaust
- Cons
- Getting used to the technology, MPG is high when driving slow of course

Some of the haters below are likely trolls and fanboys of other manufacturers: Anyone that's objective would agree that this is one awesome piece of machinery: Balanced in so many ways, and a beautiful display of what's to come with FIAT-Chrysler in one company now. You're getting essentially an Americanized Alfa Romeo with more high end touches you'd only find in luxury cars $30,000+ more in price. It's a flat out steal (the Alfa Romeo Giulietta it's based on in Italy starts at $35,000+ U.S. with less features) - and made in the U.S. People who ACTUALLY DRIVE it and compare it objectively with others in its class CLEARLY see you get one hell of a package and a high quality, state-of-the-art car. This is NOT anywhere close to whatever was in the past, and this is a clear sign of the future with Italian engineering and American imagination.
Built from the Alfa Romeo Giulietta (Americanized awesomely!). And I must say, you can feel the refinement from the first time you sit in one and hear the throaty exhaust note (I have the Italian-designed 1.4 MultiAir Turbo and Italian-Designed Dual Dry Clutch Transmission). It's clear that this isn't the old Dodge (and old Chrysler). The design is amazing - Interior is beautiful, modern and insanely full of top of the line technology - especially for that price point!
Driving it - it's unmistakably Italian - solid and confident in corners. Weighted and precise - a blast to drive. Made of more than half high strength steel, so you feel the solid build in driving and even when closing the door.
Napa leather interior with stitching is clearly refined - soft touch materials everywhere. People need to realize that this is a modern designed cabin - not a cluttered center console like some people seem to like in inferior competitors in this class.
UConnect Entertainment is easy, big and the heads up display is state of the art (customizable!). The Alpine Surround System is badass as well. My limited has Blind Spot Detection, rear-cross detection with a backup camera, TCT LCD display as a heads up display (you can only get something like this in a Mercedes S-Class!), etc. I mean c'mon, the others in this class don't even come close.
For someone in my age group and BEYOND, it's so smartly designed in so many ways. Good balance between fuel economy and performance - fun but economical. The real power comes alive at above 2,000 RPM, and it definitely KICKS. You must remember that this thing was made for sporty fun like the Alfa Romeo/FIAT it is underneath the hood, but for MPG - which, like any other car, you get a lot of if you DRIVE MODERATELY.
Dual Dry clutch transmission is great for me - as I love European cars and realize that this is a manual shifted by computers. Some Americans may prefer a traditional automatic, but I love it the way it is with the Dual Dry Clutch. They tried to make it smooth enough to act like an automatic - balanced just enough. That makes it a little less sporty than its Italian cousins (Alfa, Maserati, etc.) - but again, it's made to be balanced with an American driver in mind.
Bottom line, Dodge Purists from the past may not be used to it - with Italian flare, fit/finish, quality and interior design. But to most people who appreciate awesome cars, the Fiat Group has officially saved the Chrysler Group - and put them on the top (Including Quality - read up on the Fiat Group's modernizing of the manufacturing processes, obsession with quality and investments in quality testing). Americanized Style with a more reliable european DNA - for the price, it's a flat out steal....read morehide4 out of 6 people found this review helpful.

- looks, past history, suppossed to be one of the first 2000 models made.
- Cons
- Still some issues with trim, sometimes hesitates when accellarating, some options very minimal.

I bought this car because the first car I bought new in 1972 was a Dodge Dart Demon, and it was a bad as car. I was dissapointed that a car I paid better than $22,000. had less features than a $16,000. Honda Fit. For the price it should at least have auto Up/Down on the driver/passenger windows. I assume that's an option that makes it easier at drive thru windows. If you have to take the time to hold the up button to raise the window, before leaving the drive thru, then you've lost all of the feature. To quote Homer, DUH. Why not make it work both ways. Gas mileage doesn't even come close, plus if you look in the manual it says 87 ok, 91 preffered, I can't find gas at that rating. It's either 87,89 or 93. What's up...read morehide

Have had this car for 3 weeks, been a blast so far! No issues, except I keep finding excuses to go drive it! It's got the 1.4L Turbo with 6-spd manual transmission. Definitely a driver's car.
