Love it, has been the best ride ever. The audio system is awesome. I love just driving it. Was so depressed when Dodge stopped making the Durango, but when they showed commercials for the new Durango I was on cloud nine.

I have owned my Dodge Durango Limited Hemi since 2005. As of this date, with almost $135,000 miles, it still has never had so much as a tune-up!
I have a tow package and have made numerous trips to upstate NY, towing a boat and trailer.
Gas mileage on the open road always averaged 20-22 mpg, but recently has dropped to about 18 mpg and 16 in town.
I would definitely recommend this veheicle to anyone!...read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Very smooth ride, lots of room, comfortable seating
- Cons
- Gas mileage and initial acceleration
I bought my 2004 Dodge Durango SLT 2 days after I had taken my first look towards a Dodge. My mind was made up on either an Expedition or a Tahoe until a friend told me that he heard some good things about the Durango. All I thought about was the old box shape of the previous Durangos. The 2004 Durango ROCKS baby. I was very surprised at how smooth and quiet the ride was. I hate outside noise. The Durango by far has the quietest ride of all the full size SUV'S. I also like how tight the frame is. I live in New Orleans where the pot holes have their own zip code and I hit one the other day that would have destroyed most vehicles. The Durango frame absorbed the hit and kept on going strong. Another thing I really like is how high you sit up in the Durango. Driving this vehicle you think you could drive thru a brick wall. I'm in a carpool for my son and his 4 friends. Theses are 15 yr old full size boys and they say this is the most comfortable of all the SUV's they ride in on a regular basis. The 3rd row seating is very comfy. There are plenty of storage spaces , cup holders although i would like at least one cup holder on the passanger side 3rd row seating arm rest. I do not have the Hemi and it shows. The initial acceleration isnt what it should be but after you get to 2nd gear it kicks. Nice smooth ride and highly recommended. I bought mine for 22,500. Always shop on a holiday weekend or when it's raining...read morehide

- Pros
- First Class Options. Comfortable seats, great visibility. Powerful engine
- Cons
- Gas mileage, (but who cares. its a HEMI), instrument panel at night
This large SUV sits the driver high on the road- great visibilty. Sure-footed in the snow and ice. It is quiet inside. Smooth ride. Easy to get to third row seating. Steering wheel mounted audio controls are a plus.

- Pros
- Great ride, stops on a dime, and is quick between lights.
- Cons
- Could use a louder exaust system, like the pickups have.
This is the best vehicle I've ever owned. It's got everything I want in a car. The leather smells so gooooooooood! Can U say HEMI?

- Pros
- Comfort, stereo sytem, handling in snow, looks & finish
- Cons
- 3rd row seat does not lay flat in SLT
We have had our 2004 Durango for 6 months now and it has been excellent. We love the handling in bad weather. It did great in a recent snow storm and without it we would probably been stuck for at least 2 days. The sound system is the best I have ever owned in a car.My only complaint is that the 3rd seat does not lay flat and that causes some problems for transporting dogs. We love it....read morehide

- Pros
- Great new layout. Drives excellent for a truck this big.
- Cons
- FUEL ECONOMY, Questionable quality
I actually rented the 05 for 2 weeks and enjoyed the experience. Impressive and even more impressive that Dodge could make it this nice. Driving was excellent and comfortable with the leather seats. My only complaint is that Dodge quality is questionable at best. Keep in mind, they even fired a guy because quality cost the stock holders too much money....read morehide

I look for places to go so I can drive my 04 V8 AWD Durango. The old body style did not interest me at all. The new one and the inside are just beautiful. It turns gracefully and rides like a dream! I love it!
