- NICE RIDE-
I purchased this car from the Dodge Dealer with 15,000 miles on it. The first day I took it home the heater was blowing cold air. Intermittent. It is now in the shop again for heater problems for the third time. The last two times in appprox three weeks the defroster doesnt work. Air flow sticks on bi-level and will not change to floor or defrost. It had a foot throttle problem and was in shop for approx two weeks waiting for parts. Have had to have front brakes and rotors replaced at 18,000 miles already. This was not covered under warranty as brakes are only covered for 12,000 miles. I complainted to dealer and they covered it under policy. Now it has a steering problem. Excessive play in steering wheel and sometimes hunts back and forth from rh to lh turn. Almost caused to go into a swerve on slick roads. 4.7 LITER engine. Poor fuel mileage. 12MPG city. I have a 2004 Dodge ram with a Hemi and get better fuel mileage with it than with the little 4.7. I have had no problems with Dodge Ram. My son also owns a 2005 Dodge Dakota and has had no major problems. I have been an avid Dodge owner since approx 1983 and this vehicle has changed my opinion about Dodges. Right now I am very disappointed in the quality of this vehicle. Maybe I just got one of those lemons that you here about. I should have looked at Toyota Sequioa maybe.
