- HUGE size makes me feel save driving in it, smooth ride, lots of extras
- total gas hog, seat head rests make it hard to see when looking over your shoulder
I had a 2000 Durango which I leased & absolutely loved. I then leased a Grand Cherokee Special Edition, BIG mistake!! I missed the smooth ride & the roomminess of the Durango. I just bought a 2006 Durango Limited w/ Hemi from the Marshalling Center of Orion Township, which is a company car lot for Daimler Chrysler management employees here in Michigan. I couldn't be happier!!! It has 19,000 miles on it which is a good thing, the '06 8 cylinder engines had problems (my friend works at the plant that builds them) so w/ all the miles already on it, I know any issues have already been worked on. I do like the GPS & the upgraded Alpine 6 CD stereo along w/ the DVD player in the back. Also, the driver's seat memory makes it convienent for my boyfriend & I to take turns driving w/o the hassle of finding the comfortable seating each time. The ride is a LOT smoother than my 2000 Durango & it's a LOT larger in & out as well. Only bad thing is the Hemi sucks the gas, I work 5 minutes from work so that's not a huge issue for me, I just don't let the gas get below 1/2 a tank so I don't spend $65-$70 on gas. And yes, the gas needle does move slightly if you floor it LOL With the size & the weight of the Durango along w/ all the bells & whistles it has for the upgraded version, I'm totally happy!! Plus, th4 employee discount I got made this SUV a steal!!!
