2013 Dodge Durango

- Looks, quiet cabin, plenty of room
- 5 speed auto-transmission takes some getting used to
Purchased As New
I have now owned this vehicle for just over a month and love it. The vehicle is absolutely beautiful while still giving the appearance of strength. A perfect aesthetic combo for a family hauler. If you are not looking to break the bank on a 7 passenger vehicle and not looking to get a seemingly emasculating minivan, then this is the ride for you.
Pros: Great appearance inside and out, sturdy feel, quiet cabin, a lot of features for the money, plenty of leg room on all three rows even if are 6 ft, steering and handling is solid.
Okays: fuel economy is fair for a big vehicle. Acceleration is fair. Need to floor it when going up hill from a stop.
The 5 speed automatic transmission is a bit odd to get used to. When accelerating, the gears shift in an odd manner that lets the engine run at the higher RPMs before finally settling in. Occasionally annoying but not a deal breaker.
All in all I really like this vehicle and would recommend it to anyone. One thing to note. In the first 400 miles, I noticed a vibration noise on the front driver side when accelerating. Other user review on the 2012 Durango noted the same thing. It disappeared after the 400th mile. Don't know way by why question a good thing.
