- Kids love the "cubbie seats". I like the rear storage for carrying groceries.
- Can't reach the floor, bump in transmission, no storage for personal items
I love the space in my Grand Caravan. The children don't have to sit together so they don't pick and fight as much. The gas mileage is about average, 21 highway.
With my height of 5' 6'', the drivers seat sits so high I must fling myself into the seat, grab the steering wheel, and pull myself the rest of the way in. If I drop something on the floor, I usually have to get out of the van to retrieve it, cannot reach the floor. Can't reach the glove box or under passenger seat compartment from the driver's side. No storage for my personal items except one compartment on the floor, beneath the cup holders, which I can't reach. Rear cup holders are far better than the front holders. The window controls and door locks are not illuminated so you must feel for them if driving at night. No automatic headlights. Very inconvienient for someone who is accustomed to having them. Feels like a bump in the transmission when the gears change. When turning up the stereo volume in the front, it becomes too loud in the back. A constant argument about that!...read morehide

- comfortable ride, corners well, stow-in seats, interior quieter, good exterior/interior style
- Seating could be more comfortable, sound system, power train warranty, front window sun shading
First American vehicle in 30 years. Test drove Honda, Nissan, and Toyota minivans. I was very surprised, as well as my wife, that the 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan drove better than the other models. I just hope the reliability of Dodge is improved. With only 36/36 warranty Dodge needs to improve in this area. Otherwise drives very nice. I would recommend this minivan if you want good comfortable ride....read morehide

- Sliding Electric Doors are short lived
Been to dealer several times to replace motors on sliding doors, and they last about three months.

- Great ride, and fuel economy. Stow n Go is awesome
Very pleased with the Grand Caravan. We got Nav., Sunroof, and leather at a very competitive price. Best van on the road.

- Stow-n-Go and remote siding side doors make things easy. MPG is ok for this much car.
- Too much power. Engine is not protected from road splash-makes engine appear dirty.
This car is fun to drive with great handling and is able to U-turn where other cars need to Y-turn. Don't forget to stow vacation items under the mid seats if you need a little more room for that camping trip. When the seats are not stowed into the floor. I ran with a flat on the front left tire for 25 minutes on the highway once. The only reason I could tell I had a flat was the gas mileage jumped up to 26.5 MPG as apposed to normal 22.7 MPG Hiway and a guy was signaling me. Other than that the ride felt good even with the flat....read morehide

- In my opinion, its the best looking van out there, especially for the money
- Side air bags need to be standard.
Traded a 2003 short wheelbase caravan for the longer wheelbase 2006 grand caravan, what a difference, from the ride, to the features.
with the current incentives its hard to go wrong. I would strongly recommend this vehicle to anyone who likes to get somewhere in comfort, with decent power and good fuel economy. You honestly forget your driving a mini, it is that stable and reponsive. And the best part, you can turn on the dvd player, put the headphones on the kids, find something to occupy the wife and actually enjoy the drive....read morehide

- Excellent comfort features
- Rust on underbody
Many of the 2006 Dodge and Chrysler vans have rusted front end parts. The rusted parts on my van are both controller arms and the axel. The parts are rusted up to and including the connections to the ball joints.
The service policy does not cover part failure due to rust. Dodge refuses to replace or give a special warranty on the rusted parts stating that the rust is a natural part of aging....read morehide
