- Love the appearance
- 5 times in shop already, poor fuel economy

I loved my journey for the first 14000 kms/8 months of ownership. Now it currently sits for the 5th time at the dealership for repair, towed in twice. Journey would lose all engine power, and almost shake you out of your seat. Dealer has had to flush out carbon from engine. that worked for a week. Engine has now been taken apart and cleaned. Packed with carbon again! Picked it up and turned around after 5 kms and left it there again. Still not fixed!
New pads and rotors already! 17-19 MPG!
I have checked with other dealers/Journey owners and am not alone! Wish I had my truck back, it got better mileage!...read morehide

We test drove a new Journey and were not impressed. It was okay. I felt about it the way I would feel about a used car. I later test drove a used Toyota Tacoma PreRunner and it was far superior to the Journey in every way, comfort, performance, handling, smoothness, and quiet. I would definitely have purchased the Tacoma before I ever considered a Journey...read morehide

- sleek styling and body, safety, inventive storage areas and seating combinations, child/baby friendl
- engine is a little weaker than expected given average fuel economy

My wife and I have test drove several cars in the last 6 months in preperation for the arrival of our twin boys and new life as a family of 4. While we narrowed our selection to include only american cars (personal choice) we were able to test dirve several SUV/Crossover type vehicles from the american auto makers. While we found several to our liking, the Dodge Journey offered us an opportunity to buy a family (specifically kid/pet friendly) vehicle that could fit up to 7 passengers and offered unique seating and storage options we believe will be both helpul and neccesary for a new family of 4. While the engine performance and fuel economy are mediocerin comparison to some of the competitors vehicles, you can get a fully loaded Journey with every feature for under $30k with rebates and incentitives. It looks a lot like a Cherokee and has a sharp looking appeal given the car/minivan combination-very unique. We like it a lot and hope that this review is helpful....read morehide
