- Pros
- Great fuel economy/7 passanger seating
- Cons
- Nobody sees these SUV's in any write-ups! What a shame.

I bought my Journey a year ago. I had a 2001 Grand am with 248,000 on it before. All paid for and no pressure to get a new car since my old one was still going strong. I took my time, researched and found the Journey. First, I loved the way it looked. Streamlined and not like a bubble like MOST small SUV's. Then I got behind the wheel and was amazed with all of the features. Next I took it for a spin, and saw how the powerful and efficient V6 engine operated. It had been named as one of the top 6 cylinder engines of 2012. It just has everything a mom (but not a typical soccer mom) could want. You can tow with it, you can fit 7 people in it, it gets almost as good gas mileage as my Grand Am did (I average 21/mile per gallon). It looks sharp, tons of extras, is powerful, the AWD handles great in snow and didn't break the bank. I took months to decide on an SUV and this is where I ended up. I hope others check this vehicle out. LOVE the Journey!...read morehide

- Pros
- Very comfortable, looks good.
- Cons
- Transmission, breaks, tires, air bags and the list goes on......
Purchased As New
Transmission went at less than one year. Breaks needed to be replaced at 3 months, again just over 1 year, and at 2 years. Air bag module went causing the light to come on. I had it replaced and then it went again so the car would not pass inspection. Tires blew out less than 1 year. They are custom to the car and impossible to get. Had the tires shipped which was extremely expensive! I lost several weeks of work due to repairs and the dealer refused to give me a loaner car. I was paying $405. for a car payment and the car was in the repair shop more than it was in my driveway. Went back to driving my 10+ year old Explorer!...read morehide

- Pros
- Power and pickup, good car, great looks
- Cons
- need better rear view mirrors
Purchased As New
I have just 1200 miles on my new 2013 Journey. Soo far it's great. I compared it with at least five other small SUV's in it's class. I know the older models had problems but not now. I've got the six cylinder engine and six speed transmission. It beat all the other for how well it runs on the highway and around town. Decent gas mileage, but I got it to be able to move and haul. I have a friend that has a Honda that rides with me when we go on even a short trips. I would like better rear view mirrors, I have to strain to get a complete view....read morehide

A lot to offer to my surprise, quality and comfort of the interior, 8.4-inch U-connect touchscreen, engine performance 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine. The experts in my opinion did not give it a fair review. test drive it you see!
Consumers need to really look into 2012-2013 Journey lots to offer for the price, Especially the Crew package!!!...read morehide2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.
Was this review helpful to you?
- Pros
- all around great package worth a close look
- Cons
- hasn't gotten the press it deserves
Purchased As Not Purchased
The Journey seldom appears in small suv auto articles. To bad as people looking at similarly priced smaller suv's are missing out on a great alternative to the rav-4 and crv.
