- Auto Trans shifts hard from 1st to 2nd gear
Purchased As Used
The 2008 Dodge Magnum SXT is an overall Excellent vehicle. This is not your father's station wagon. Sleek elegant lines combined with flared fender wells, a mean looking facia, dark tinted windows, 17" standard 5 spoke rims, a powerful V-6 engine, and a low to the ground stance make the Magnum a 5 door 5 passenger roadster. If Dodge wants to spice up the line up, they should bring back the Magnum....read morehide

- Roomy, good gas mileage, sporty
I purchased an 07 SXT earlier this year, used, with a little over 13k on odometer. Great car, I love it. It's an excellent car for family or singles. Plenty of room. Spacious trunk with dropdown rear seats. No problems with it. Only wish I had the R/T or SRT-8 for more power. I don't think Dodge promoted this car enough. Too bad they have dropped it....read morehide

- 26mpg. Smooth ride and great handling, Plenty of room and very comfortable.
- have had back windows repaired twice as they would not work. Still not always functional.
I bought this 2005 magnum brand new in 05 and I have never regretted it! This is one of the best handling and roomy cars I have owned. The price for the product is an equal ratio. It is truly sad that this vehicle is being removed from the Dodge line after this year. Especially since the newer auto styles are not rated very high. (And frankly no where near as nice a body style. Of course the Charger is a magnum with the back roof cut off, so I guess that's a choice!!
I would buy another one of these when I am ready to trade out. Unfortunately there will be no more....read morehide

- Good Fuel economy, nice ride, nothing fancy for interior
I bought a used 2006 SXT, and I love the car, nice ride, get looks all the time. I have three kids, plenty of room, both front and back. 20 mpg in city, 26 mpg highway. If you look around you can save yourself the money and buy used, rather than new. To bad they are not going to keep making this model after 2008. At least thats what I am hearing. Guess I will have to switch to the Dodge Charger for my next car. I WOULD buy another one in a heart beat....read morehide

- Excellent fuel economy, LOTS of room inside.
I love this car!!! I was a bit reluctant at first, my husband wanted one and persuaded me to go along with it. I am soooo glad he did!! Tons of room inside, front driver and passenger have loads of leg room, and the back seat is very roomy. My 2 sons have plenty of room to stretch out, play video games and not be too close to each other. I was surprised at the fuel savings--it is wonderful on gas. It has fantastic "pick up" on the road, and zooms along so easily. The back has so much storage room, and with the cargo cover, it hides whatever you may have in there.
I can't say enough about how much we love this car--I am looking forward to taking it on a road trip because the comfort level is over the top.
We bought the SXT(2007), it has a sunroof, which we all love, and the interior is simple, yet classy. The outside is sharp and aggressive looking. I love the front grille, and the chrome accents. We bought a black magnum, with tinted windows. It is sharp!
My husband and I fight over who drives the car daily!!
So glad we bought it!!...read morehide

- Stylish, looks great inside and out. Loads of room. Good fuel economy.
- Visibility takes getting used to, back air vents could be bigger. Some dash intruments hard to see.
I LOVE this car. I have had it one year now. Bought 2006 brand new. I went from a mid sized SUV to this car and still have plenty of room for my kids and all their stuff. This car is so smooth and has such great pick up and throttle response it would be very easy to get a ticket. Really need to watch the speedometer....read morehide

- BETTER THAN AN SUV FUEL ECONOMY, PLENTY OF ROOM, NO NONSENSE INTERIOR & CONTROLS
- VENTS IN THE BACK ARE TOO SMALL;
I BOUGHT THIS CAR LAST YEAR ITS A 2005 MAGNUM SXT, WITH 55.000 MILES ON IT IN LOVE WITH IT I HAVE HAD ROUTINE MAITENENCE AND IT RUNS GREAT, I HAVE READ MANY REVIEWS ABOUT THIS CAR AND MODEL IN PARTICULAR, I AGREE WITH MOST, FOR SOME PEOPLE IT IS A LITTLE DIFFICULT TO SEE PAST THE COLUMNS WHEN TURNING BUT EASILY BYPASSED BY SITTING BACK IN YOUR SEAT; THE CRUISE CONTROL BEING HARD TO GET TO...NONSENSE WHEN YOUR HANDS ARE IN THE CORRECT POSITION IT IS EASILY MANUVERABLE; I OPTED TO GET THE SXT OPPOSED TO THE SE FOR THE SIMPLE REASON OF ENGINE POWER, AND AM GLAD I DID! I HAVE A CHILD AND A 1OO LBS. CATAHOULA THAT HAS ENOUGH ROOM TO TURN AROUND IN THE BACK. I REALLY LIKE THE SIMPLICITY OF THE DASH AND LAY OUT OF THE CAR; NOT TO MENTION THE STYLING OF IT; IN THE TIMES OF EGG SHAPED CARS AND CROSS OVER VEHICLES THIS WILL DEFINATLEY STAND THE TEST OF TIME AND BECOME A COLLECTORS CAR DOWN THE ROAD...read morehide

- Great feel, great look, lots of power
- Poor visibility for lane changes and parking
Cool car in regards to the look and feel with plenty of space inside, but tough to see where you're going when driving or parking.

- Good fuel economy
- just bought last January 2007
I have the SXT, enough for me, however I got a ticket , my 1st for 12 years in California. This wonderful car is so fast and powerful. I went from San Francisco to Clearwater(British Columbia), good fuel economy just 24 miles/gallon. I drove fast and when you pass the canadian border there are only mountains.
The body has an incredible design. I'm an artist and I love this car. I saw the same car by Chrysler 300 C Touring. It looks like the front of the 300 C and the interior offers a better equipment than the Magnum...read morehide
